Feature Not Working

Sometimes when I get bored I spend a bit of time wandering around the LABN site, sometimes doing my moderatorly duty of tweeking things here and there where I can to maintain the standard of the site. But sometimes I may stumble upon something that isn't working or a link that hasn't been fixed and if I haven't the appropriate moderator or admin access to fix the problem then I have to leave it.

Of course being the obsessive anally retentive freak that I am, such little errors weight heavy on my mind, I can't help it they just drive me up the friggin wall!

So I wanted to start a thread where if anything is not working on the site we can post it here so that The Powers That Be - namely DAVE :D hehehe CAN fix it, and hopefully I can hold on to what is left of my sanity.

I found it. Seems that the source code was altered at one point to include a modified routine to spot the [quote=" but they had copied it from something that had converted the quote into the html entity "e; (probably an XML thing) which of course would not do at all.

If you find posts of yours with this error in it, just edit them and re-save...that'll fix it.

Please, Dave. Can you move Alessa's profile to LAbn2 NPC Character Profiles? (Providing I can still access it to edit and add posts, of course). Thank you! :D :D

By the way, did you notice that picture links are not working? Is it a temporal problem or should I start uploading them to photobucket and post them again?

Hold off on that. I have a ton of pix that were uploaded to friedbaloney that are...shall we say...mis-linked. It is a problem of the current gallery software.

I am working on the gallery replacement and it has a feature that will allow you to browse through the galleries to insert pictures into your posts.

If you find a picture that was NOT linked to a LateNightGames.com domaon then by all means try re-linking it. If it still doesn't show PM me a post link and I'll look into it.

FOLLOWUP: I looked and saw what you mean...it is becasue of the gallery software that it was like that. I've disabled the 'lockout' for now...but when I move to the new server I am going to try to find and re-link a lot of the pictures so that it goes through the gallery software.
