hi all... just thought i'd let u guys know that my internet connection @ home is screwed... i have no idea why and i'm in the midst of getting it fixed. *tears out hair* :?

I agree with the majority - besides everything else her being banned poses a possible game-play problem...what happened to Jem?
I also see no reason for her to have been banned from the game in the first place. This IS a GAME after all, the emphasis being on fun.

hi everyone...
i know i haven't been online for the last 4 days and am probably holding up the game board. really sorry about that... :oops:
just so that u guys know, i'm not deliberately avoiding the whole lot of u nor have i been abducted by aliens. i was hospitalised late last thursday night and wasn't discharged till early this morning (monday). the docs say it's exhaustion, mainly due to improper eating and sleeping habits and high blood pressure. 8O
(i can so imagine what some of u are thinking. please don't nag me, i've heard those lines at least a million times in the last 4 days. everyone from my parents to my neighbour's aunt's brother's wife's cousin has been screeching at me to correct my living habits.) :roll:
anyway, i'm back home now but am still feeling kinda weak. (all those damn blood tests, needles and medication... urgh!) i'll definitely come online from time to time to work on all the collabs that've been on-hold... gimme a little time ok? i'll try to get everything moving again in the next 2-3 days. :D

Hi, im new (thought i'd point out the obvious). I've been mosying around your site and i likes what i see! but what buffy fan wouldn't!
i found this sight through the bronze site thing-a-majig on thingo...and couldn't resist checking it out! i was going to go to bed early that night, but ended up staying on for over 3 hours till 2am checking this game out and reading as much of season one as my eyes could stand in the middle of the night. it's really quite impressive and i love reading it...i must admit though i was a bit confused as to how you did it...feelin a bit stupid, im use to live games with dice and GMs.
I've posted a character and hope you'l look kindly apon me, otherwise they're be a few minutes where i'll be unconsolable...before i'll apply again a few 50 times more. I love roleplaying (im a shadowrunner at the moment) and figured i might bring some attention to myself and say hi, try and get to know peoples that i'll hopefully get to roleplay with, and so i dont seem the unsocial type who just posts characters and annoys you...now i just seem the type who posts alot of c*** and annoys you :oops:

hehe - how the game works is like a pen and paper RPG - but don't ask me how THAT works because this is my first RPG experience anyway... oh i am sooo inexperienced... ;)
Anyway basically players can post solo posts or collaborative posts written with other players. We don't allow other players to write for our PC's unless they have permission (normally if a player is unable to attend a collab - but even then they normally edit the stuff that has been written in their absense)
Collabs are done in 'real time' or via e-mail in extreme circumstances. Which is why it is pretty much essential that members have MSN Messenger - which is pretty much how we get together - get to know each other and write collaborations together.
Once more, Moronic??? Never!!! A little bit crazy? Yes! But that's how we like 'em ;)

crazy? good, good...i got plEANty of that stuff! and i have msn!!! and so far peoples here seem nice...you're the only one whos replied, but that should just be a...thing...that tells the future...*click, click, click*...premonition thingy, that the rest will be just as cool :)
plus your characters names spelt the exact same as my best friend which is really weird because i dont know any other catherine who spells their name like that...it's usually with a K or Kathryn...you get the basic picture!

P.S. I played Showrun once. I was a decent game, and I believe it is Shadowrun that gave birth to the Vampire the Masquerade Storyteller System, a system I frequented a few years back.

Secondly, I am a long time table top gamer. I have been playing the same character in Shadowrun for about 10 years. It is my all time favorite RPG.

i havent been roleplaying shadowrun for very long, but i somehow doubt that my character will last to the end of THIS year, and by that i mean our year 2002. Ten years is quite impressive, especially since you've had the samea character! But i looove roleplaying and like to give it everything...like my character, Meh whos crazy, bloodthirsty and has already been unconcious twice in one night...anywho! she'll probably be dead before the end of this year,but she's cool and i have fun with her...(so does my GM damn it)
This doesn't mean i'll be trying to get my character unconcious every night if i get in, but we'll see!

Well, I applaud anyone reading the entire season from the beginning. We are a rather wordy bunch.
My compliments on getting your character knocked out numerous times. My SR character (also named Daye) used to specialize in knocking herself unconcious after casting spells. She eventually constructed a level 10 focus and now can survive her own weapons of mass destruction.

yes i noticed its quite wordy! but that just adds to it and makes it more interesting! it reminds me of a book...except with this my eyes get radiation poisening from staring at the screen for hours on end!

yeah my character, Meh is only new to Shadowrun like me and we're both just getting settled in, but i didn't just want to sit back and let the other players do everything and get settled in that way...instead i'll learn my limits to the death of my character...well...hopefully not that far! i do like life...you can do more...unless your a vampire...in which case you undead...but not in zombie form (this could carry on for a bit, so i'll just stop myself here)!!!

Well, I finally got my computer back with a brand new hard drive -- but unfortunately, all of the data on the old one is GONE!! Praise the lord I had a clear vision of Parasol. I submitted and you're gonna let me play. Woo-hoo!
Just so you know, I think you are all talented and imaginative writers. I went to the "Getting to Know You" post and read (and responded), so if you get the spirit, take a look-see about me-me.
I'm a little less befuddled by the organization, and looking around helps. I also have not had the ability to read from my computer at work. I work at a small law firm in close quarters, so logging onto RPGs is kinda frowned upon. That is unless I wanted to play the "Lawyer's Will Kick Your Ass and Make You Like It" RPG. :twisted:

It's wonderful to see you properly online and functioning again. We've been getting teasers about Parasol and have been hanging out to find out more. Now that I've read your full character profile - wow!! She's going to be a fascinating character to play with.
To answer your question, to have Parasol's profile appear on the main site you will need to post it in the Character Profiles section of the forums. You'll be able to see the format from previous posts made in that forum.
Essentially, make a new topic with the title "Parasol" and then make a series of posts. The first will have Parasol's vital statistics (the race, sex, age etc parts). Then use the button 'post reply' to make new posts under that topic.
For the second post you'll need to put the heading "Description" and include said description there.
The next post you should title "Background" and then place that beautifully detailed history in that section.
Any items or possessions of note can be placed in the section which you'll title "Items".
If you wish, you can put another section called "Powers/Abilities" and note any particular abilities there.
Do all that and voila - as soon as Dave builds a link to Parasol it should update on the main site and you'll exist there. Once it's up you can edit it at any time from the forum and it will update straight away on the main site.
Then you have the joy of deciding if you want to have a picture gallery for Parasol. If you have an actress/model/etc. in mind that fits your mental image of Parasol, find some pics and e-mail them to Dave (mrdave2176@olg.com) and he'll put them in a gallery for you.

hey, i'm back! much with the yay ness.... i now have like loads to catch up on... but um... HI! and ok now going to fill my mind with all sorts of nu season goodies...

Okay, I'm back. Here are the highlights:
1) It's good to work for Quality Inn. I paid $85.00 after tax for 3 nights' stay.
2) Rented the movie Ice Age in the hotel room.

3) Spent all day the next day at Marine World.
4) Beers cost 3.99 to 4.99 for a 14-ounce taste of pleasure.
5) I took a Walkabout (walkie talkie) on the Medusa and screamed into the mic. as I hit every turn and every loop.....Karie listened to my terror on the other end. The auto camera photographed me half-way through the ride; I was smiling. I don't remember smiling though. I remember screaming.
6) I couldn't get anyone to ride the roller coasters with me until the end of the day. Finally, Melinda (one of the two kids) agreed to go on Kong with me. I was so grateful that I bought her a shirt. I said, "Here you go, Melinda. This shirt has the ride we shared printed on it.....the Medusa." Of course, she said, "But we rode the Kong together!" So I threatened her with my car keys if she didn't pretend that we'd ridden the Medusa together. I'd paid 20 dollars for that stupid shirt! Goddamnit, she rode the Medusa!

9) Almost crashed a couple of times. What is with those highways? Sometimes you're driving along, and you realize that there are no longer any road lines....it's like they painted the roads back in 1970 and then forgot about them. And cars are always merging....merging....fucking merging! Fuck them! I got aggressive really quick.
10) Some other stuff happened, but I'm trying to block it out. Too tramatic.
11) Oh! I bought myself and Eeyore doll at the Disney store. I needed the emotional support.
