Although I'm probably the only They Might Be Giants fan on this site, I'm still very excited to announce that they just produced an album called NO! that is intended for children. It is awesome! (If you like that sort of thing; it's not something that's going to make the Top 40 Countdown.)
13 of the 17 songs can be listened to on your computer and are accompanied by funny little cartoon/activity screens. I laughed my tutu off. But then again, I'm a TMBG fan. I'm biased.
Parents can sample a couple of the songs/games at http://www.giantkid.net. The samples this site gives aren't the best on the album, but they're still fun.
Other songs: a song about groceries, a song about safely crossing the street, a song about a squirrel eating a tree house, a song chock-full of facts about the Edison Museum, a song about supertasting, and MORE.
Sorry to be Mr. Sales Guy. But when an obscure band consistently puts out creative stuff, I find it hard not to advertise for them. They Might Be Giants wrote the theme song to Malcolm in the Middle, for those of you who watch that show.
