Description: Walt is a slightly short, gruff young vampire punk who tends to fly off the handle at a moment’s notice. He can be gentle if he has to be and outright rude when pushed to it. He often prefers to be passively hostile to those he dislikes…like Benji Law.
Background: Not much is known about Walt from his life among the living. Only the details of his resurrection as a vampire are known for sure. He and Julia were buried in a makeshift cemetery plot and abandoned by their sire(s). When they rose from their graves, the vampire Benji happened by. Walt had immediate misgivings about the not-much-older vamp, but he accompanied him at Julia’s insistence. Their wanderings lead them to Youth Hostile, a group home for cast-off neo-vamps, where the trio has remained ever since.
As for how Walt and his friend came to be vampires, Julia’s subtle hints lead one to believe that she holds Walt responsible for their conditions. It’s not that Julia isn’t grateful, but she just likes to point out who got them into this situation in the first place.
“I tried trusting you once, Walt, and it eventually got me killed.” She grabbed his hand and placed it on her heart. Where her heart once beat, it was now empty and cold.
Items: Walter carried no items of importance.
Powers: Walt possessed basic vampire powers at the “fresh vamp” level.
Events: After rising from his make-shift grave, Walt and fellow punk vampire Julia followed Benji Law back to his home, Youth Hostile. Julia immediately took a shine to Benji, admiring his cool rationale and knowledge of the vampire world, but Walter didn’t care for the vampire at first. Eventually, as the trio hunted, killed, and fed together he warmed up to Benji and trusted Benji to guide him and Julia.
That trust was tested, however, when Benji brought the Black Veins’ “Great Enemy”, Natasha Brookes, to Youth Hostile. Walt had bought into Rosie’s Black Veins lore and seriously distrusted Tash, but Julia insisted that the duo trust Benji. At his friend’s request, he did, and took part in Tash’s plan against he former allies, the White Hats. Though few noticed the event, Walt was killed by a mercenary Norsh demon working with the White Hats.
