Ok, this is it - finale time.
Assorted MSN discussions amongst some of us have resulted in the following idea being proposed:
That we develop an overall plan in here that we, as players, will be following for the finale. Since this is such a large battle, there will be groups of us doing quite different things, but we'll need to know who else is doing what and when so we can put in appropriate reactions, etc.
What we'll need to know is:
Who is involved.
What area of the fight they'll be focusing on.
Any special weapons/forces/magic/funky shit they'll be bringing along.
Any particular outcome each player has in mind for their character and/or npcs.
For example, Tash will be there.
She'll be able to take back control of Delancre's zombie troops and use them to attack the bulk of the army.
No special outcome required, except I want Tash to survive. Also, I'd like a few of her zombies to make it through so she can deal with them in the aftermath.
If each of us put down a brief summary of what we plan to do, once they're all up we can bring them together and see who'll be working as a team during the fight, and then developing a more detailed timeline plan.
As for the beginning of the fight, it looks like it's going to be held at Runyon Canyon. The only thing is - how exactly will we be getting Delancre AND his whole army to show up there? I've heard something about Maia being used as bait, but I don't see Delancre turning up with his whole army for her. In fact, he's more likely to send someone else to get her, since he tends not to do much of his own dirty work.
So that's another area we'll need to work out. Once we know how the trap is to be set up, we'll have a much clearer idea of how to proceed from there.
So, let's start with thoughts on bringing Delancre and the army to the party, and an initial summary of the disposition of your characters - go for it, guys.

Planning for the Season Four Finale
I don't know exactly what Nik will be doing, but he'll probably have a small contingent of "button men" who are available since Dmitri wants revenge.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Ok, Lou, Ally and I have just been having a bit of a discussion about the whole problem of flushing Delancre out of his nest, and this is what we've come up with. It's still pretty raw, but this is the gist.
We stage a diversionary attack on the mansion itself, to attract Delancre's attention. Part of that force includes Tash and Alessa. Tash uses the opportunity to find her zombies and regain control over them. Alessa is there to goad Delancre (we all know how he loves to make things personal). It also means we'll get the intel on his vastly expanded forces due to the arrival of the Colombian troops.
When the force retreats, seemingly in rout, Delancre could follow for two reasons. One, to wipe out those damn White Hats once and for all, and two because he has learned that Sam and Maia are being hidden in the nearby Runyon Canyon.
So he takes his entire army and leads them personally to hunt down the pitiful remnants of the White Hats who have dared attack him. He'll be having a good ol' chuckle because he'll think the WH only attacked because they believed the mansion to be undefended due to Sekhmet (and he'll be mostly right on that score - the extra troops are a nasty shock to the good guys).
Once he and his army reach the Canyon, there should be some nasty surprises waiting for him... :)
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Okay, well I'll throw my two-penneth in the ring.
Kate will be there, as will Galen and probably Jack since he's a skilled telepath and I'd still like to do some telepathic communication across the battle field even if it's just between my own characters (though there's scope for more).
In addition to the Sindell witches (around 12, 13 with Kate) - who will be mostly from the warrior's circle so quite adept at combat magic etc. The rest could be healers who would be able to attend to the severely wounded on the battle field.
I'm also toying with the idea of the Coven supplying them with a number of magically infused weapons so that the non-magic or non-supernatual characters can also contribute.
Apart from that, I'd like Kate to co-ordinate the Sindell troops to some degree initially. They could either be blocked together or spread out around the cannyon to provide illusionary or cloaking spells in the initial stages.
As for outcomes, I obviously want Kate and her close relatives/friends to survive (Galen/Jack/Inanna/Gerald etc) other witches can be lost to the cause.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Well I know (as I mentioned to Kris and Heather before) Cole/Darian/Kyle will be handling Ana (the slayer). I would say they would probably try to cut Ana off at the mansion before she can make an impact on the battle field.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Aw, Slayer not going to the canyon? damn :( slayers are always good for fun :P hehe
anywhos, back to my little thing-a-malig. Reah shall be attending the whatsit-mawhos to help in the combat and probs some weaponry suppliage if needed. She'll also be bringing along a couple of her more capable friends to help her too (give me a couple of days to work out just how many that number is precisely) and quin'll likely turn up cos she knows how to do shit all :D nah, she'll probs try and hang out with the red-crossers and do whatever she can in that department. NOT EVERYONE HAS TO BE ABLE TO BUST COOL MOVES YA KNOW! hehe
as far as outcomes go: yeah, basically reah and quin surviving :) i like that plan alot. a couple of her friends may die also, but not all. Though, it'd be cool if, i can't really think off the top of my head right now, she got Reah got to do a little more than just pick off the minor npcs. Like say, gets to make some wise arse crack and slap or spit Delancre in the face (but that's just an example. a ver' lame one, i know and am well aware, but you get the point  hehe. i'm like anyone else who likes their character to do something significant. but again, i understand if not cos i've been away alot of late  )
that's all for now folks, but i'll surely be getting back to you on what nots and whosits later
Planning for the Season Four Finale
right, well id really love for jeet to be involved somehow. im sure his abilities would be of some use, but it depends if i can solve my chatroom issues or if someone is prepared to ghost write him
he wont survive the battle though.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Marcus will be attending, as will Onyx (of course.)
Marcus intends to raise any of Delancre's troops who may die during the battle, thus increasing our numbers while decreasing his. Onyx is a fairly capable spellcaster as well as warrior so she can fit in with either area. Both will survive the battle but Marcus needs to be close to Delancre when he dies.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
oh right, forgot about the results of the battle with the slayer. Well sorry to break the surprise, but I dont think Ana will live passed it.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Mmk.
Adriana will not be in there herself, due to something involving my storyline, but her sister, Polina, will be there, in order to take down Delancre and retrieve Gwen from the house (yeah, by then, she's still in that pink nightmare Delancre calles "her room" :P )
Anywho, Polina will be there.
She has no special weapon really, unless they give her one.
In my storyline, she already has a few broken ribs, but more are to be broken (and she will live)
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Well Alessa will be fighting too, of course. She will be part of the group that attacks the mansion and later retreats to the canyon leading Delancre and his troops to the ambush.
I haven’t much planned for her, but I’d like her to face Delancre at some time, probably not fight him in person but exchange looks and a wink would be great or something like that. Of course he’d have to see her in order to follow them, his anger at her is one of the things that will probably decide him to take things personally.
In the Canyon I will have Ellis and Mike, along with as many Demon Police hunters as they can gather in such a small time, I had planned on 50, maybe getting to 70, eventually. Not many more, the Demon Police is a very new organization and they aren’t many yet.
Of course I pretend Alessa, Ellis and Mike to survive, although they could be hurt in the fight. Some casualties among the Demon Police are to be expected.
Now, I’m a little concerned with numbers, since we seem so few and Delancre’s army so many.
We were doing a rough sum with Lou yesterday night and we got to these good guys:
Character Players
the White Hats (Tash, Kate, Galen, Daye, Darian, Cole, Jeet, Nik, Alessa, Reah, Alice?, do I forget anybody?) Oz
Kyle
James, possibly with Darlome
NPC’s and organizations
The Sindell witches (12+Kate=13, but they are very powerful so they could count like many more, actually, so I counted around 50 too) The Watchers (Lou mentioned around 20)
The Zombies (about 100. but Heather said they would count for many more too, so about 1000)
The Zombies Marcus will be creating cant be numbered since they will be growing in number)
The Ghosts (how many Jamie? I figured around 50 but I’m not sure)
The Mobsters (how many Adam?
Ellis, Mike and the Demon Police (around 50)
Polina (are there going to be any Gypsies involved, Meghan? If so, how many?)
Reah’s friends (she’ll tell us how many later, I guess)
If I’m forgetting somebody or something please tell me and you do the adding up, I'm terrible with numbers. More so these approx. numbers.
[/][/]Planning for the Season Four Finale
Ok...this sounds like it's shaping up pretty well. So, I'm just not sure what exactly Daye will be doing in the battle itself. I think she will probably work with Kate and the other witches.
I specifically have big plans for Ryan, however. I know that Marcus must be nearby when Delancre dies, but I really want Ryan to be the one to kill him. I have a very good idea of how that is going to go.
I like all the suggestions already made, by the way. Now, I guess I'll just wait patiently for us to actually get there.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
well i was thinking the ghosts would be using soem b.f.g's consideirng the last time they got ina figth with decrlance some of them died so i was thinking mabey mortars rpg/s and if i behave merhaps a anti tank missel luncer
as for magic darlome wont be there mabey james would get in on teh figth with the slayer? and um i was thinking about putting vince into teh fight to make an apperance basicly eat the life energy of any demon he coems across ?
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Aye, Kyle'll be taking out the Slayer, but if it is possible I'd like for him to take part in the big battle, too. And before you ask, yes he will be living through it :P
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Its just Polina. Gypsies aren't that big on "helping others outside your clan" thing :?
Planning for the Season Four Finale
yea fucking pikies
Planning for the Season Four Finale
*sighs* -_-;;
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Ally,
Not a lot. I'll be having Bulldog Manetta show up, who may or may not appear later, so we'll keep him around for now. Jimmy will probably be there as well, but he can be whacked. Aside from that, you might assume maybe 3-4 other Buttons will be there.
Having said that, they can probably outfit us with some rather illegal high-calibre ammunition. ;)
Amanda -
Will Reah's friends by any chance include a certain trio who we should be writting more with? :)
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Buttons? Whacked? And here's me thinking it was NIKOLAI that was the gangster, not Adam ;)
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Right, it sounds like it's all coming together pretty well.:)
Just one thing - apart from Tash and Alessa, which of the other White Hats will be involved in the feint against the mansion? We don't want to tip our hand about the other groups, but we want enough of a showing to have it look convincing.
Then again, we don't want the feint to be too enormous for collab purposes. This part of the finale will be worked on before the main part, so whoever's involved in the feint has to be available for two long collab periods probably fairly close together (one weekend after another, for instance).
So... put your names down here. So far we have Tash and Alessa. A few more bodies will be helpful. :)
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Yup, Kyle again.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
For the Runyun Canyon post and for the Feint post Oz is availbale. He has no special combat abilities other than being a pretty awesome hand-to-hand fighter...but he can do one than that none of the white hats or Delancre's army can do...Fly.
Oz can survey from the skies. Granted he will be a target up there since he does have a pair of flaming wings off his back and he does not fly tremendously fast, but can wear a cell phone with a hands-free mic and report from the overview.
He could also get Maia off the battlefield (and throw off most pursuit) if when using her for bait things turned ugly.
He could fly into Delancre's compound since they will likely not be expecting an aerial approach - or would be a distraction while assaulting the gates.
I am open for any of these scenarios. The outcome I am looking for is that everyone will immedtiately recognise him an an Angel not an ex-angel as he has claimed to date. Until Oz revises his self-image to recognise his true self he'll still think he's human (and be vulnerable as such) but as far as anyone else who sees him is concerned he will be the real deal.
This should allow him to operate more-or-less freely among the whitehats without recriminations from his past.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Cool! Imagine Ellis' reaction!! :D
Planning for the Season Four Finale
That makes Tash, Alessa, Kyle and Oz for the feint so far. Anyone else?
Reah would be handy - and if Amanda's not available I can always ghost-write for her again. Someone with some funky magic would be useful to have, though (hint, hint to Lou, Kris and Shaun).
And we need to pick a time to actually do the collab. Dave and I are good for most evenings and the weekends - but evenings in the US generally translates to wee small hours for the English, and we all know Matt flakes out at around 11pm.
So it's looking like weekends again. How does the 14th or 15th (next weekend) sound for collabing the feint? The actual finale would be soon thereafter (though Dave and I will be unavailable for much of the weekend of the 21st and 22nd).
And speaking of the bigger finale post, John will be involved there (and may also make an appearance at the feint, but from Delancre's side of things). Alice will help with setting up Ana for the guys at the canyon.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Kate will be at Delancre's mansion for the decoy attack, that way we could also relay messages back to the canyon via the psychic network hehe.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
I can most evenings after 7pm, saturdays after 1pm, and sundays i'm available most of the day. Exept the 14th, that i'd have to be going at noon, since it's children's day (i dont know if you celebrate it) and there's something planned for it. I could come back a couple of hours later, though.
Now, i have another problem. My husband will be coming back on September 12th, and i'm POSITIVE that i wont have much time afterwards. At least at home. If i tell him i have to spend the sunday collabing it would probably imply a divorce, and as much as i'm addicted to LAbn, i wouldnt put it first. :P
SO PLEASE, IF YOU WANT ME TO ACTUALLY WRITE ALESSA, LETS TRY AND DO IT BEFORE THEN, or about a month afterwards 8)
I propose the August's last weekend. :)
thank you.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Don't worry, Ally. If we're not done with Season Four by the end of August I'll be slitting my wrists anyway...
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Hmm...most of the time, weekends work fine for me, as you well know. Next weekend, if I'm needed, I can do Sunday, but Saturday I'm taking the kids to the water park. The following weekend is the last before school starts, so I'll probably be pretty busy and the weekend after that I'll actually be out of town.
Also, I'm thinking that for the purposes of this battle, Daye may cast a little telepathy spell on herself, as she's not a natural telepath. Something temporary that will enable her to communicate with Kate and the other witches. Just an idea. Let me know if you think it's a good one, Lou.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
I can do next sunday, as usual, and possibly wed, thurs and fri.
And I resent that flaking out at 11 comment! Its usually closer to 12, and I'm tired, and most of the time I'm down the pub at that time anyway :P
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Oh yeah, i forgot to say that I should be okay for any time next weekend, I can usually manage to stay up pretty late so long as there's some decent entertainment while not writing ;)
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Well Darian and Cole are free for whatever, but the prob is, as always Weekends are a no no for me. my only days off are Tuesday/Wednesday
and Dont forget, Kyle Darian and Cole are taking care of Ana (just a reminder)
Planning for the Season Four Finale
If you need a magician for the feint someone might be able to prevail on Onyx to tag along. As a bonus Delancre would quite like to get his hands on Onyx...
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Hmm, good point Robin. And I'm Tash could find a way to convince her. :)
And don't worry, Shaun. We haven't forgotten. In fact, if you'll notice I mention John talking about a plan for Alice where she sets up Ana for you guys.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Cool! well, reah (i definately guess) could go to the mansion first to help out there :) give Delancre a good sporting look of her claws too and see what he thinks of that! Considering last time she didn't reveal them so his curiosity wasn't fed.
You forgot about Quin, Ally hehe, but tis all good. she's only probs going to be physically helping out with the injured - although she does have other uses that extend beyond just city rats and bats. She can communicate with all rodents and thus can actually send out 'scouts', so to speak, that cover the ground while Oz covers the air. Plus if there are some sindel witches helping out with the healing too, she could relay what she learns to them and they could relay back to Kate or whomever telepathically.
And yes Adam :) Reah's friends might include a particular threesome amoungst others, hehe
Now, as for my availabilities, i'm working all mornings this week on Saturday, Sunday and Monday (not sure about the rest of the week), but that means if it really comes down to it: i have no split shifts and i work with a coffee machine that i've become ver' skilled in using to make myself strong, full shot and chocolately ODing mochas that keep me WIDE awake :) so provided i'm in bed by 4am at the absolute latest *thumbs up* fantastic. but likewise, if it's possible to avoid those ungodly hours, by all means!
Weds and Thurs i work all day at Cactus Graphics.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
wait... just remembered: Quin's communication system would still be down, right? hehe, whoops. ah well. she still knows how to bandage a wound
Planning for the Season Four Finale
I'm not sure Quin's powers would be gone by then since the mana draining spell would have completed its task by then and the mana that was drained from the infected would be returned. She may not be as adept as she was before but I still think she'd have some of her power intact.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Mana-restoring-wise, I'm figuring the return of mana is rather more gradual than its removal. I'm doing a collab with Tash on the 6th June at the moment (which should end up being only a day or two before the big fight) where she's getting vague hints of auras and very short-range sensing of people's presence, but that's about it. She's still bare-handed at this stage, too. So the way I've been playing it is that she's basically still without powers really.
Of course, as with the effects of the virus itself, people may be affected differently by the return of their mana, and some may get theirs back faster, I guess. But if memory serves me, when we talked about the mana draining way back at the start of this season we settled on it being a slow, gradual process - which is what I've been running with now.
And at the moment it's looking like this Sunday is going to be our best collab time again for the feint. So, same time as last time...
6am Kris (if her computer's working)
9am US/Canada East Coast
10am Uruguay
2pm UK
11pm Eastern Australia (not too late, I hope, Amanda...)
Planning for the Season Four Finale
I don't know when the collab will be, but for the most part, I'm free the rest of this month (School starts September 1st-- yes, THAT early)
If I'm not available, then my friends probably have captured me and forced me to leave the house :P
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Well, I’m going to try to organize what you have said so far, blame it on my teacher’s organization fetish, but I cant work efficiently without a plan. If there is any inaccuracy, mistake or omission please correct me. Please, bear with me.
Heather mentioned four areas in which we had to focus, and I added the numbers one too, to know exactly how many people would be involved in the fight.
So lets focus on the questions.
Character Players
the White Hats (Tash, Kate, Galen, Daye, Darian, Cole, Jeet, Nik, Alessa, Reah, Alice) Oz
NPC’sKyle
James
Ellis Mike
Reah’s friends = at least 3
Onyx
Quin
Polina (what about Dominica?)
Ryan
Vincent
Well, from what we have been discussing, we will divide our characters in four areas of expertise
Magic (including muscle too, of course) Observation, communication
Magic: Kate and some Sindell Witches, Marcus, Onyx, DayeHealing
Muscle
Observation, communication: Oz (from air), Quin (from land via [rodents), Kate (telepathic links to the WH), Daye (telepathic spell)
Healing: some Sindell Witches, Quin
Muscle: all the rest :D
Sindell Witches = magical artefacts Armoury= assorted weaponry
Added organizations/forces:Ghosts = a lot of weapons from Jamie’s words, mortars and maybe an anti tank missile launcher
The Sindell Witches 12+Kate=13 worth 50 The Watchers = 20
The Zombies = 100 worth 1000
Marcus’ Zombies = growing number
The Ghosts = 50 (some vampires between them, this will be night, right?)
The Mobsters = 6
Demon Police = 50
Kris wants Ryan to be the one to kill Delancre. Will we be using Maia now, Kris? Robin needs Marcus to be near them when Delancre is killed (I wonder why?)
Now, apart from our player characters, and NPCs, most of us will have to write for some of the factions involved. These are my guesses:Matt will have Kyle kill the Slayer, and Cole and Darian will be around.
Lou, Kris and her witches will be in charge of dealing with the Council’s mages.
Heather will be leading her Zombies
Ally will have Alessa with Ellis and the Demon Police.
Jamie: the Ghosts Robin: his Zombies.
Lou: the Sindell Witches and the Renegade Watchers too (busy girl)
Heahter: the Zombies
Ally: the Demon Police
Adam: the mobsters
Amanda: Reah’s friends
Now, I’d like you to answer some questions of mine, if we indeed will work with simultaneous mini collabs… who will be working with who and doing what? :)
[/][/][/][/][/][/][/]Planning for the Season Four Finale
I have nothing constructive to offer other than that the more I think about this season finale, the more it sounds really cool.
In fact, it also makes me wish I had my own faction...
(Hush, Shaun hehe)
Planning for the Season Four Finale
I don't want to tell people what they should be doing but these are my ideas on how this whole thing might work.
I think, for starters, that some of the factions should join together. Not only will this make it easier to organise the different groups (because there will be less of them) it will also bolster their numbers.
I'm not sure what will happen to Delancre's zombies while we're at the mansion, persumably they will act as Delancre's devoted warriors and once he and his army are in position Tash will take over control and trap them in a classic pincer manouver. As for the zombies that Marcus creates, they will fight from within the battle, so there's no need to position that portion of the troops.
For my own part, I can't decide whether to have the Sindell witches in one large group or have them set up around the battle ground. I'm leaning towards the latter of the two but I'm open to ideas if people think it would be better to have them in one collective group. I think it would be cool to have them dispersed because that way they can observe the entire battleground and even use obsfucatory magics to maybe disorientate Delancre's troops, or perform spells to conceal the presence of the other WH factions. They would also be able to form a sort of telepathic ring around the whole place, effectively providing communications to anyone within the circle.
That leaves the Demon Police, The Ghosts, The Mob, The Watcher's and Reah's friends. We could split these into either two or three separate groups and position them around the canyon, maybe a small group waiting for the White Hats to join them down in the canyon itself and the other two factions waiting somewhere else, perhaps on either side of the ridge for the signal to attack - that way all four sides will be covered effectively blocking off any chance for Delancre's troops to retreat.
Anyway, those are my thoughts so far, feel free to comment :D
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Overall, I like Lou's plan. It works well for me...
Oh...yeah...what the hell am I doing here today. Well...the way it goes is, there's good news and bad news...
The good news first. My friend Chris is loaning me his spare computer. It's a 700, so it's slower than my baby, but it'll get the job done.
The bad news. All of my finished stuff is on the hard drive of the damn crashed computer that Mark hasn't even had a chance to look at yet. So, I'm available for collabs and the like, but I'm going to have to try my hand at recreating a bunch of posts if I'm going to start putting stuff up on the board so that we can move on. Obviously, I can't do that today. I'm off to the water park with the kids. It's the crack of dawn now and I've come down for a couple of minutes just to figure out what's up.
I also want to mention, with regards to the finale. I'll be up at 6 and on the computer tomorrow morning even if it kills me, and I would not mind taking the Watchers off your hands for you Lou. Heather, are you and I going to tag team the bad guys, Ana and Delancre in particular?
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Take the Watcher's off my hands? I might just have to kiss you Kris :D
As for Ana, I think Matt and co. have something in mind for her... don't know how I got that idea though, must be something to do with the gazillion times that they've mentioned it in this thread hehehe :D
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Well, we've been in a bit of a slowdown since your crash last week. Sure, if you'd been up and posting we'd most likely be closer to posting the actual rescue now, but since nearly all the collabs pertaining to that have been written we can afford to hang about a little longer for everything to be posted. It just means that when it comes, it'll be a deluge. :) And the break's been a chance for me to catch up on the timelining a little...
Sounds like a plan to me. You and I have been doing most of the writing for those two anyway, and I'll have time to do some writing for them since my zombies won't be saying much.
And yes, I'm sure we're all well aware that Matt and Shaun have plans for Ana when the time comes for the actual finale... with a little assistance from John (something he mentioned to me a couple of weeks ago that sounds very cool). I doubt John will be at the feint or the finale - though he might surprise us - but I know what he wants Alice to do, so I can fill in bits for him here and there.
And speaking of the actual finale, since we're doing the feint this weekend, how about we set a date now for two weeks time to do the big finale? That gives us a couple of weeks to pass the feint around to those who weren't there for all of it, and to get the postable version of that distributed so that everyone knows what the deal is as Delancre and the troops come storming towards Runyon Canyon.
That would make the date for the finale collab the weekend of 28th/29th August - any later and we'll lose Ally to 'catch-up' time with Marcelo. :)
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Oh, yes, yes. I so want to be there :D 28th/29th sounds perfect!!
Planning for the Season Four Finale
But I can't be there...*sigh*. That's my sister's birthday weekend and we are going to California. We leave Saturday morning and come back Sunday evening. Sorry, guys.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Just a reminder - the collab for the big finale is this weekend, the 29th Aug. Presumably we're keeping to the Sunday format, since Sunday seems to work better for most people.
That means the standard times: 9am for East Coast North America, 10am for Ally, 2pm for the Brits and 11pm for Amanda if she's able to make it.
I'm given to understand that Lou and Kris have done a considerable amount of prewriting, to get Daye's bits in on the picture. Just a pity you won't be there for Delancre/Ana reactions Kris. :(
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Okay, one more reminder...
We've now got through the bulk of the post-cleansing stuff, with the game board up to the 1st. So far as I know Kris is the only one with anything much to post between the 1st and Alessa's escape from the mansion on the 6th.
That means Kris has the go-ahead to just shove her posts up to get us effectively time-jumped to the 6th as soon as possible. If anyone else has any posts between the 1st and the 6th that they haven't told me about, you'll need to be quick to get them up.
We're collabing the finale this weekend, and I'd like to see it posted to the board as soon as possible after it's finished. That means the feint on 7th June should be going up either during this weekend or soon after. So, anything dated the 6th or earlier should ideally be up before the end of this weekend, so we can wrap this season up a mere two months past its allotted time.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
The suggestion has been made that we do an epilogue post, where each character has one paragraph - no dialogue - just describing the aftermath from their point of view.
Anyone who wants to include a paragraph (ok, two if you REALLY have to... ) for a brief epilogue, either post 'em here or PM them to me...
That is, of course, assuming we want to actually do an epilogue. :)
And a reminder... those who need to add their extra bits for the finale post - try to get them in soon.
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Ok, i imagine that an epilogue with a paragraph or two for each character will sum to a good size, but yet... only one or two?
What's the other option? I mean, if we dont do an epilogue? Just end it with the battle? In that case the finale should have another ending, right?
Because Shaun and I had planned on something a little longer than a couple of paragraphs. Although i guess it could be postponed to midseason, and our paragraphs just leading to this other post... I have to talk to Shaun about it.
Ok, i'm rambling. I agree to the size restriction, but i'd like to know what other options do we have. :D
Planning for the Season Four Finale
Since our midseasons run directly into the season, I'd just as soon end on the crescendo of the final battle.
Think of the end of Buffy Season 7...
Huge battle lots of action then...5 minutes to the end of the episode.
Same thing in Season 6
Same thing in Season 5
and so on.
Don't drag out the ending folks, there is another season to birth here.
