Ok, the time is rapidly approaching when we need to co-ordinate some largish collaborations for the end of Season Four. So far as I know the main multi-person efforts left to do are as follows:
30th May or thereabouts: Kate (cleanser), Tash (cleansee), Nikolai (cleansee), Adriana (cleansee), Quin (cleansee), Ellis (cleansee), Darian and/or Jeet (mana vessel), maybe Kyle (muscle) - others? - are involved in the 'cleansing ritual'. Some are more willing to be there than others...
Early June: Planning the big strike on the mansion: Daye? Kate? Nikolai? Tash? Alessa? Oz? Cole? Kyle? Marcus? Adriana? Reah? Jeet? Quin? Darian? Ellis? Mike? Nightwalker? Drew? etc, etc... It's time to nominate which PC's and NPC's will be involved in the planning stages - or indeed if we even bother with doing the planning on-camera. We could just go right to...
After planning in June (date highly fluid): The big finale. Anyone and everyone.
Ok, for now... we need to find times that we can do the cleansing ritual. Most lead up posts are already written, with a few exceptions, so I suspect we'll get there fairly rapidly in real time. As usual, I imagine a weekend will turn out to be the best option, to account for those who work, etc.
This coming weekend is out - some of us are already involved in multiple collabs. :wink:
However, what does everyone think of the following weekend for doing the cleansing collab? That would be 31st July/1st August. Any problems? Comments? As usual, we'll try to find a time when everyone's awake, but for some it might be at an awkward time. Anyone with timetabling issues (such as work committments) speak up fast and we'll arrange times around you. If that weekend looks like a total no-go we'll move onto the next...

Fuck. That weekend is gonna be mad busy. Not only do I have to send in a 3-5 page paper to my U.S. History Ap teacher on the 1st, PLUS I think my 4 1/2 year old nephew is coming up.
But, I think I'm able to do it. I'll try to finish reading my assigned chapters and report in between, and I;ll just stick my nephew on the porch or something :roll: Plus, if we do a collab on that Saturday, Ray (the little brother -_-) has to indure aboot 2-3 hours of dentistry to save his teeth (and he's only 13 -_-)
So... if I can get responsible, then its okay for me ^_^

I should be fine to collab then, i might even have all my shit together by then too, you never know ;). I don't have any restriction on time, tho something super stupid like, i don't know a 4am start wouldn't sit too happily on me (especially if you want me to be half way sensible ;) ) but other than that I don't mind getting up a little early, staying up late - par for the course. I guess unemployment has SOME advantages hehe :D

I work Saturdays till more or less 1:30 pm, but from then on I guess I'll be able, if nothing unexpected happens, of course. :D
I dont know still if Alessa will be involved in the "cleansing ritual" but, about NPC involved in the mansion strike, I'd like to have Ellis and Mike there.
Also for the finale, there's their 'demon police' hunters that could be available for that last confrontation too. I guess we'll need all the muscle we can get. And resources too, Longwood Inc has plenty of that.
Now i may be a little thick (not maybe, i probably am) but i'm still a little confused. Will we attack the mansion one day and have the big finale another? Somehow i thought the big finale was the mansion attack. :oops:
All these lonely nights must be affecting my brain. :roll:

Yes, the big finale IS the strike against Delancre. Whether it's physically at the mansion itself or at some other location is up in the air, it nevertheless remains that Delancre is the target. :)

Ok...of course Daye will be available for the posts you all need her for. I offer Ryan as muscle to help with the cleansing ritual if you feel you need him. He's not doing anything then but waiting for Daye to heal up and get out of bed.
As for the finale, I lean towards a strike against D outside the mansion...there's some promising valleys and wooded areas that I think would work for an all out war between the WC Corps and the various faction assembled by the WH. And I have a real good idea of how to get D and his troops to come and play as well.
At this point, I believe, along with WH PC's who are in on the finale, the following organizations will be included in some capacity: The Sindell Witches, the English Watcher's Council members, The WC Ghost Squad, and The Demon Police from Ellis Longwood's organization. If I'm forgetting anyone (oh, yeah, and the zombies) let me know.
And if you have any specific ideas about how this should go down, we should all probably try to discuss them at some point. If I'm not being too bossy about this whole thing.

I'm opting for a battle out of the WC Mansion too actually, I think the Runyon Canyon place (i think that's the right location) would be perfect, I can just see the White Hats setting up various strike teams up on the ridge, drive Delancre's forces towards an ambush - a really co-ordinated effort a la Graduation Day with the Sindell crew taking on Delancre's mages and say the Demon Police attacking from a set point to force the WC Corps into a trap.
I'm proposing this seperate group thing as a change from the normal 'free for all' kind of finale we usually have where we just write for the one PC or PC and an NPC. I think it might help to keep things more co-ordinated concidering this finale could easily become a battle of epic proportions. (Delancre has his hundreds of demon soldiers, and the WH's have several collective forces, that's looking at a pretty hefty fight. We're gonna have to be slaughtering the opposition by the tens and twenties rather than a simple one on one fight.)
I think I also mentioned to some people that I think it would be cool if we could maybe do some co-ordination of troops (in the White Hats that is) via telepathy. I just think it would be really cool especially since lots of our characters PC and NPC have telepathic abilities that are not really utalised. (Besides, you don't have to be telepathic to recieve or send out messages, I'm thinking of Willow in ep where the Scoobies were all fighting that group of vamps.) I just think it has to be cooler than walkie talkies right? :D
Anyway, those are my ideas for the finale so far, just thought I'd throw them out there while I actually remembered them hehe.

Ooh, funky. Just one problem... I don't know how many others will be affected, but presumably Tash will either have no psychic abilities or perhaps very limited abilities just starting to return after having had her mana drained to cure her. :)
But as you say, she could still receive from someone else if they sent to her specifically, even without her talent.

As I was saying. I was hoping Cole and Darian would be at the cleansing ritual (Cole maybe helping, and Darian as the mana battery/conduit/whatever) However, there is a slight prob. Being a retail slave, I must ALWAYS work on weekends, so I wont be around. Sundays I only start at 12 though, so if we can make it earlier, i can manage to be there for a few hours.

At this stage it looks like Sunday approx. 1pm GMT could be our best time, given Shaun's position as retail slave. :)
That's 6am for Kris (though I don't think she's involved in the cleansing ritual at all);
9am for those of us on the east coast of the US and Canada (me, Dave, Adam, Shaun);
10am for Ally;
2pm for those of you in the UK;
11pm for Amanda (if she ever shows her face again).
So in your particular case, Neil, you'd need to mug someone with an internet connection around 2pm on Sunday 1st August.

Aw, crap. I just found out I'm going away next sunday (I was always told it was the monday, but apparently I've been mischeviously lied to and it is in fact sunday) and I won't be back until the following friday. But the sunday after that is good again :)
If you want to write Kyle in to the cleansing collab that's fine, he'll probably mostly be keeping quiet and helping restrain the more violent of the patients :P

Just a reminder to all of those involved in the "curative" collab - it's on in two days' time, Sunday 1st August at 1pm GMT (9am US east coast, 10am Uruguay, 2pm UK, 11pm Australia, etc.).
In an effort to try to minimise the amount of time we spend fluffing around at the start working out who's going to do what when, I thought it might be handy to get that out of the way now.
I've already sent the details of Pelor's revelation to Lou, so she can integrate that into what Kate's learned so far and structure the ritual accordingly, since Lou is the one who will be carrying the bulk of this particular collab. Lucky woman. :)
In broad terms, though, this is how I see it...
Our infected are assembled, whether they show up willingly or are dragged there. Kate has all her stuff prepared, and proceeds to link the vessel(s) - Darian and maybe Jeet if Neil can show up, or is prepared to have someone ghost write for him - to the infected people. I'm not sure if Lou plans to do each person one at a time, or whether she plans to link them all to Darian/Jeet together and then begin the ritual as a combined group. Not all of you know the exact mechanism by which the mana drain will happen, but that's fine - the only one who really needs to know is Lou.
Personally, I'd plump for linking each person and then doing a "bulk transfer" kind of thing. It'll save time and energy for Kate, no doubt, and should make for a tighter collab. Once we've been through the ritual once, we won't want to see a dozen versions of it while each person is cured, so if we do them all at once we avoid that issue. :)
Once the ritual is over, the infected aren't yet 'cured' until a few days later when Hyde starves to death, but as with Daye when Cole had drained her, the virus will go into a dormant stage since it has effectively no nourishment. So all of us should come out of the ritual feeling more or less back to how we were before we caught it - plus great heaping bucketloads of guilt, no doubt.
Ok, I think that's about it in a nutshell. If anyone has anything that needs to be discussed before we start writing, go for it now rather than waiting until we're all in the chatroom and ready to begin. :)
