Virus Alert!
Whatever you do don't follow the instructions! (I deleted them to be safe)
That is a system file and is REQUIRED for your system to handle one type of internet communication.
This is a malicious act to get to to self-sabotage your own computer!
If you ever have a question about any virus warnings go to these two sites and research them BEFORE you take any desperate actions.
http://www.snopes.com/index.htm (this coveres non virus rumors as well)

and especially...

Here is the very alert you posted...

Virus Alert!
It might be worth adding that you shouldn't panic if you already deleted the jdbgmgr.exe file, I searched for it some months ago when I first got an e-mail alert through hotmail.
Although I didn't delete it, (looking in file properties showed it to be a Debugger Registrar for Java) it can be restored, and I assume the worst it can do if you HAVE deleted it from your system is cause some problems with various java applications.
Either way the securtiy responce by Symatec actually shows you how to restore the file to your system.
Peace, Love and a Plague of Boils to Hoaxers! :D
Virus Alert!
Ok, its a good thing dave posted that because i was about to get to it. I looked in more on this file and got curious. I don't do much on internet and i would know if there was a virus (i hope). and this did not seem to frightning a i know it must have been their for more then 14 days but did nothing.
Then found that this "virus" was in my other drives in my windows folder, concluding that this was a hoax. sorry guys....sorry for the panick i started. i didn't delete it though, at that time i just wasn't sure...it knida looked like a nessacery file...
Thanks dave....i owe you yet another one... :D
I am such a gullable idiot....sorry again guys
Virus Alert!
ok, this isnt so much a virus, but considering that you guys are computer literate, I am asking you what to do. I have just recieved a warning message saying that my pc is emitting an IP address. Supposedly people can hack into the pc using this and steal all sorts of stuff.
I was then automatically given the link to a website which of course had loads of quote form people saying "oh jolly dee our lives are so much better no that we have downloaded the porduct that stops people hacking into out PCs!" ofcourse you have to pay money to get this service etc. how convinient.
I am not sure of what to make of all this, and my dad, who is probably the one I should be asking, is never in when it any one gets the message any help will be welcomed.
thanx

Virus Alert!
Your IP address does not automatically let people access your computer. Everyone's PC has na IP (internet Protocol) address becasue that is how you can recieve files from the internet (like web pages and MP3s)
Most PCs are not vulnerable to IP attacks becasue they are not running any server software that allows people to access your files. Hoever certain spyware and viruses can open that funtionality on your computer.
The two best defenses you have are anti-virus and firewall software.

thanky dave! I feel that little bit less paranoid now. Well, only a little bit less! Thanx again, chow!

Okay. This is not a virus but i am having these computer problems, hope someone can help.
#1: I keep getting logged out at my home computer. Someone told me to reset my cookies or set them but i dont know how. I also click in the "keep me logged at all times" but i still keep getting logged out and even that in the matter of 2 minutes. Help!
#2: At home, when i type some of my longer posts, i am starting to have some writing in my posts that has gone automatically italic. Some of you may have noticed that in some of my posts, for no reason, the writing starts to go italic. I tried to edit and re-edit it but it doesn't work. Does anyone know why?
Virus Alert!
I've got a virus. It doesn't make me go italic. It makes me go italian. I just ordered another pizza. Damn this flu.
