Deon was turned at age 12. He has dark skin, short black hair and deep brown eyes. He stands at 5'1" (155cm) and weighs 90lbs (41kg). When not in vamp face, he looks very much like a typical mischievous teenage boy.
(Deon is played by Cirroc Lofton.)
BACKGROUND:
Patrick always loved his big sister Natasha. She'd play games with him where she'd guess what he was thinking, and after a while he found he could sometimes hear what she - and others - were thinking, too. When they were growing up they were virtually inseparable. Patrick had his friends from school, but for some reason Tash didn't hang about with the kids from her classes.
He could remember all that. He could also remember the attack - the feeling of his life draining away. But his life before he became a vampire seemed dull and faded compared to his life since. He most clearly remembered waking up. He could smell the deep rich scent of earth. He pushed against the wood covering him and clawed his way out of the earth. It was dark, but he could see perfectly well. His blood sang. He stood, sniffing the night air.
One scent in particular called to him. It enticed him, entranced him, demanded his devotion. He followed the scent and found the girl, drunk and dazed. He watched the pulse thudding in her throat, fascinated. He could smell the blood in her veins and it intoxicated him. It seemed the most natural thing in the world to bare his fangs and sink them into her neck.
And that game he'd used to play with his sister came back to him, so he searched the girl's mind as he drank. There - despite her stupor there was still a kernel of deep fear. His mind fastened onto that terror even as his teeth gripped her flesh. The adrenaline in her blood mingled with the sensation from her mind. Patrick had never felt anything so exhilarating in his life.
Patrick never found the one who had sired him. Matthias Perrett had destroyed the vampires who killed him and his parents while he had lain in the ground.
After the first few nights of feasting, Patrick encountered a small group of vampires who adopted him for a time and taught him how to cover his tracks. When they first asked his name, he reasoned that Patrick was dead so he renamed himself Deon. Deon learned the ropes quickly, and found that his telepathic ability linked with his boyish looks made hunting an easy matter for him. Women especially would take pity on a young boy lost in the streets at night. It was a simple task to pick the likeliest subjects - he just had to listen to their thoughts when they saw him.
He soon tired of the fare in St Louis, and had learned that his sister was beginning to hunt vampires. So rather than be discovered he left his home and travelled from city to city, spending a few months here, a couple of years there, but never settling down. Whichever town he was in, he would soon become known among the vampire community for his ruthlessness and his vicious streak. He delighted in tormenting his victims, whether it be mentally or physically. Deon loved the rush he'd get from his victims' terror and would seek to maximise it before the kill.
Now the thought has occurred to him that a first-rate buzz is to be had if he could only track down his sister. The possibilities for torment would be almost endless. With that in mind he returned to St. Louis to follow her trail.
Deon spent many months tormenting his sister Tash, by using a spell he kept her under the illusion that he was still her little brother Patrick. However, after returning from G'rnatha the spell became weakened. Tash, immune to Deon's powers and realising that her brother was no more staked him, thus ending his existence.
POWERS/ABILITIES:
Apart from his vampiric abilities of speed, strength, etc, Deon possesses a mild form of telepathy. He can pick up surface thoughts if he concentrates on his subject.
