Okay, I am guessing here but is "999" the code to call the police? In LA (and all of the United States in fact) "911" is more likely to get a response.

hmmm... yes, triple 9 is the number for the police for me. i didn't even think of it when i wrote that bit... heh, thanks dave... i'll be changing that asap! *sheepish grin*

I finally found the Philosopher's Stone of conversion sites. You can convert anything to anything (except maybe lead to gold).

I put a link to it in Game Resources as well.

Now we can use the proper measurements for temperature, length, volume, etc instead of relying on guesswork.
