descript: Kassidia is about 5'5'' with long blonde hair,which she wears in curling tendrils. She is very beautiful and men and women alike find her attractive. Kass, as her adoptive family call her, is happy and lively. She has very few and little memories of her mother and none of her father. She discovered her unhumane powers at the age of 16. She was proud of her abilities but scared as well. She has grown into them. She is now a well thought of yet mysterious helper to the weak.
history: Kass was found at the age of 3 in the woods surrounding a small village about a days walk from Athens. Her adoptive family brought her up well and love her very much. She was a beautiful child who dazzled everyone. She is kind and loving to everyone she meets. at the age of 16 she came upon her powers and slowly she has learnt to control and use them. At the age of 20 she was compelled to leave home, now she wanders around Athens and the towns and villages nearby and helps the weak.
soon although she does not know this a great change will change her perspective on life and she will have a task to complete. It will be hard on her and may change her for thw worse.
items: Kassidia owns very few possesions, she has her clothes which are not very valuable to anyone but herself. She has little need of money so she does not carry much. Most of her treasures are at home with her family.
powers: As a fairy Kass can cast a samll amount of spells. She can protect herself as her brothers taught her to fight and she can see and speak to people from a distance as long as she has water. As her powers grow she will grow wings and if she meets the fairy queen ever she will be given a wand which will expand her powers. At the mooment Kass has a limit to what she can do but as she gorws the limit will be less and less.

Character Proposal - Kassidia
Mogs be's a friend of mine, to whom i recommended only today that she should try joining up. Mogs has not done much RPG but she does do story writing. I personally am v. impressed at her quick response to joinging, and enthusiasm at writing up a bio in no time. I like the Kassidia, and the fairy thing is v. cool. I'm not biased. No.. really! :D
I say induct her into the wacky world of Late Night Gaming!

I am sure that Booj will show you around but just as an orientation, the Character Profiles is a place to keep an active version of your character for the website. I'll make that page for you in a few days.

Character Proposal - Kassidia
Hehe. Fair enough, though the proposal was only up for 21 hours... :P
But yes, I think Megan's character Kassidia has some good potential there. The only thing I'd like to see (and I know I'm probably sounding like a broken record) is more detail.
Why was she compelled to leave her home? Did her growing powers upset her kinsfolk, or was there some other reason? There's a good bit of background story here that could be filled in, I think. The exact reasons for Kassidia leaving home would give an indication of her inner angst (you know how much we love angst!).
Also, why exactly did she decide to roam around and help the weak? Is it just because she's a selfless, good-hearted person? Or did something happen to push her onto that path - some trigger, or even a compulsion?
For instance, this part of Kassidia's background mirrors Melaina's - in her case she left home because of the treatement she received once her pregnancy was known, and after they took her baby. Her lifestyle of wandering the countryside helping women was a task put on her by her Goddess Athena. The reasons for her actions are laid out. I'd just like to see what Kassidia's reasons are...
It's the why of actions such as leaving home and helping the weak that show us how the character ticks. The mere fact of them doing it gives us only the bare bones. I'd like to see a little flesh. :)
Ok, that said, I do like the general idea of Kassidia and will be more than happy to see her playing in Mythic... though one other very small concern is the note Megan made at the end of her submission:
This isn't a major issue, but I do have a little niggle about trying to cut and paste existing characters into a new world. In my view, a brand new character should be made for each new game that's started, tailor made for that game world. Now, the Mythic world is a pretty standard one so this sort of mix 'n' match approach will probably work just fine. But the 'old timer' roleplaying purist in me is tapping my shoulder a little.
Gods, I hope I'm not sounding too negative here. Really, overall I do like the character. The issues I've pointed out aren't huge concerns. Though I will be happy to see the full character description be a little more fleshed out in terms of background. :wink:
