I wanted a thread where we can all just chat, and ask any questions/queries that we might have, or just a general hi, hello, this is how my life has been going.
So I'll start off, I'm so glad we finally got off to a start with the gameboard and I'm loving the posts so far. I can see great potential for this and future stories already.
Another thing, well done to Dave for the work he's done with the forum layout, I was so suprised when I logged on this evening and saw everything had been shifted around. But it looks great Dave, and I know everyone else appreciates all the hard work you have done so far!

well I wanted to have slightly different paradigm than LABN it both helps us keep things distincet and keeps it fresh. Not "The Same ol' thing" all the time.

On a different note, one of the sites I recommended XenaFight is off line :( consequentially some of the pictures I attached to various posts might not be functioning at the moment.
The ones I can edit I have changed already (hopefully for the better, since I don't have the original photos, d'oh I didn't save them on to my hard drive) Any other ones (such as the Gods and Goddesses pages) I have sent the pictures to Dave so he should rectify them as soon as he has time.

Ok, I've just read Dave's editorial for this week, and I'm feeling sufficiently chagrined.
Yes, I am guilty of doing exactly what he describes there. My first stop whenever I turn on my computer is LABN. I check it out thoroughly, post a bunch of replies to comments, read the latest game posts, edit them, timeline them.... THEN I bowl on over here to Mythic to see if anyone has actually posted anything. Sometimes they have, often they haven't...

Well, I haven't been spending time anywhere online over the past two weeks. But it looks like nobody else had done anything on here either, so I don't feel that bad.
My excuse is that I was in heaven for two weeks while my man visited me. Two weeks of being able to actually snuggle together, go out places, share a bed. Hell, just being in the same damn time zone was a bit of a luxury. The computer was the furthest thing from my mind these past two glorious weeks.
So what's the excuse for the rest of you sorry lot?

Honestly, I have been trying, but I seem to have got Atys stuck in a rut. He has no skills of his own and he has been kidnapped by these would-be slave traders and I have no clear idea on how to proceed.
So really, I have no excuse! Sorry!

Don't stress, Kevin... The whole 'being captured by slavers' thing is a perfect plot hook for Melaina. Not that she'll care too much about Atys in particular, but you were thoughtful enough to include a couple of captured girls as well.
This is where the collaboration part of this sort of storytelling game comes in. You and I (and possibly Adam, since I'm now 'working' for Meletus) could arrange a time to do a collaborative piece, if you'd like to take the path of being rescued by Melaina (and maybe Meletus - if he's not too busy hiding or selling swords to your captors...).
Collaborations are a good way to move the story along and to meet the other player characters. Sooner or later ALL the player characters should meet all the others - this was the point of starting in Tedrim, after all. We wind up with a small band of like-minded people who are willing to help out in each other's adventures from time to time.

Very often painting yourself into a corner you can't get out of on your own is a excellent opportunity to get help from others. we are heroes after all. Well, sort of. Anyway just set a date and we can use your rescue as an excuse to prove that we are "real" heroes and not the posers that have descended on Tedrim.
Then we as proven worthies can drive out the rest of the cattle and free this blighted town from the grip of Tyranny!
or something like that. Maybe this character thing is hitting too close to home...

I was the last to post on the board! wow that makes me look good. I'm collabing 4 my next post, and coz i am starting to own a social life (i keep it in the shoo box so Alice and Gollum has some company) I don't have as much compatible time as I used to. But i'm nearly done!! Yay for me.. I've still been working.
p.s. this is also an advert for collabs... "collab with boojy coz she's small and lovable!"should anyone have the urge to do a collab with me then thats cool, talk to me bout it.:mrgreen:

I've noticed there's a new member on the list - fiery fairy. Does anyone have any clue who this is? Is it someone belonging to one of the submitted characters? If so, howcome they didn't use their character name, and how did they manage to get onto the list without being authorised by an admin?
I am, of course, presuming that our admins are awake enough to realise that Fiery Fairy is not the character name. I could be mistaken... :wink:

Fireyfairy is actually Kassidia ...I neglected to ask her to change her username. I am going to take care of it in the next Day or so. My mistake all the way, but it will get straightened out
She has not signed in or retrieved her messages yet so I can''t really change her without telling her can I?

At much urging and prodding, along with chanting of Ar-MIN by Heather, decided to do an actor change. (That, and Dave likes someone who's still alive, unlike Phil). But yes, he is quite Quarkish, isn't he? Though he is modeled on some of the stereotypical Phil Silvers roles I've come across. :)

sorry it took me so long to come on and get myself organised i am doing GCSEs yuck! anyways, i have finally started posting stuff, and i have been having a few problems!
they are already up on production notes or some such area, and now my next problemo is that no-one is on when i am, i try and try and lots of mythic ppl are on msn, but not on mythic, i assume u r on LABN, wot time does everyone arrive on mythic? i feel so lonely, so so lonely!
whenever anyone comes online please answer this, as i really want to do a collab wth sum1, but obviously it wld b helpful if i wasonline at the same time!

Mythic (and LABN) aren't so much a come at such and such as time as much as a I invite you invite him sort of deal.
If you see a story opportunity and want to collab with someone send them a PM (private message...the internl mail system of the board). Give them a few days lead time to read and respond.
between the two of you find a time to collab that works for both (or all if there is more than 2) of you.
Once you have started that process the rest will fall into place. Hoever if youwant a "Director" to come in and help you then pm Heather or myself and ask and we would be glad to come in and give you pointers.
