I understand that time moves according to the individual player in the Mid season but to avoid any confusion as to when certain events take place can i suggest that all posts contain the date of when the post takes place IN GAME.
For Example:
Victor oversaw the repair of 1318 Poplar Avenue on March 18th
This would make it much easier to know the flow of time for each character and also know when a character is doing what.
If this is ok - i'd suggest putting a IN GAME date in either the Post Subject box OR at the begining of any post.
Thanks Guys

Mid Season
Okay I've kind of put things into some sense of order (i know it may seem really anal of me but it's just REALLY confusing!!)
Okay - here's how the post running order is SO FAR - if you want me to change anything PLEASE let me know!!!
Feb 22nd 2005 - END OF SEASON ONE
Feb 23rd 2005 -
Daye has conversation with Ryan
Galen visits Kate in Hospital
Drew Phones Daye
Feb 24th 2005 -
Mantheana moves in
Feb 26th 2005 -
Sam at Bob's
Mantheana at Bob's (fight)
Second post with Sam at Bob's
Sam wakes up
Jessica Travers arrives in LA
Mar 16th 2005 -
Kate and Galen at Kate's house
Mar 18th 2005 -
Victor oversees repair of building
This is just a rough guide but it shows how i have worked out the posts SO FAR if you could remember to PLEASE post an IN GAME DATE (look at the timeline - i have filled in the difference above) in EITHER the post subject box OR place at begining of the post!
PLEASE PLEASE do this for me!!! PLEASE!!!
Mid Season
When Kate says please, you've got to answer the call! Okay, I for one will do this for you. I must say you've done a fine job on your own.
Mid Season
And here I was thinking that I wouldn't need to worry about a timeline for the mid-season stuff. Guess there'll need to be one set up for it, too, since we're all going beserk with posting to it.
Hehe, we just can't help ourselves can we? Bunch of addicts we are! :) I love my insanity - it helps keep me sane.
Mid Season
Yes, thankfully Louisa was on top of it. I was wondering about the mid-season timeline. Wish I'd been careful enough to manifest my thoughts into dates, just to make her job easier. Leave it to Dave to start things out right, and then to us to ignore his thoughtfullness.
Speaking of Dave, is anyone else having trouble getting their galleries posted? I've emailed him several times asking if he's received Sam's pics. No reply. I'm kind of worried. Not getting your pics up is like not receiving a name tag when you start a new job. You begin to wonder if you're about to be cut.
On the positive side of thinking, I know he's busy. But I thought he'd at least reply and tell me he received the pictures.
Bob knows about COLDLINGS? What insanity is this?
I just received an email from Hannah that explained to me that Bob couldn't have known about coldlings. I can't remember if I read that Bob knew about coldlings or if just made it up because Bob SHOULD have (in my mind, since he's an informant) known about coldlings.
Ah, the trouble with new players like me. Too much runs together.
Can anyone back me up, or should I edit that piece with Sam in Bob's Bar? I'm hesitant, though willing to do so. The story is more important than my faulty memory and creative license.
Mid Season
All right, Hannah. I edited out that bit about Bob knowing Mantheana was a coldling, plus I made it a little clearer that Bob just might be full of it: he tells Sam to beware of everyone, almost as if Bob thinks everyone's evil. :) Bob simply delivers info, even if its false, in order to make a buck.
Sorry for the booboo. If Iwere in your shoes, I'd have been just as picky. Good to see your dedication to the correctness of your character.
Saw my first collab yesterday. Look forward to having you around the next time I decide to mutilate someone's character.
Thanks.
Mid Season
Well i hope the collab yesterday didn't put you off too much Sid - if anything it will show you just how long they take, just how much time you have to put aside to get the bloody thing done! Adam and I started 10pm MY time and didn't finish till around 2pm MY time (oh and we didn't exactly finish either! )
Oh well so goes it, might have had something to do with all the hecklers watching from the sidelines ;)
Sure you'll get the hang of it Sid
Mid Season
Nope I wasn't put off at all. It worked out just the way Heather told me it would. And everyone else's explanations were right on the mark.
I liked it. I think it was easy to get caught up in the side conversations, but that's okay. I find that everyone on this site has the ability to entertain me immensely.
I swear I'm going to write an intro for new players one of these days. It will cut down on all the WHAT'S GOING ON? posts. I'll have to get myself into essay-writing mode, though. Haven't done that since college.
Man, you two wrote for 16 hours? That's positively goofy. I can't wait to read it.
Mid Season
Ooops! My Bad - i meant 2am!
16 hours WOULD be bloody mental not goofy!!!
That is a bit much
Ok, 16 hours would be certifiable. Although the time we usually go is considered extreme by some members of my family. I should try being a lonely single person like most of you sometime. :P
Mid Season
Hey, just because I'm not married, doesn't make a me a lonely single person. When I was married, I was a lonely married person. In my current relationship, I'm an, er, currently in-a-relationship lonely person. And when we break up, only then will I be a single lonely person again!
Grumble.......don't tell me I'm a lonely. . .a....lonely......Hm. Did I just prove your point? :?
Oh you! Okay, Daye, you've wone this round. . .But next time. . .next time. . ..
Mid Season
Hm. I didn't come here to post that. (Darn that Kristen.) I came here to comment on Galen and Kate. I would dig seeing them fall in love and then have someone bring LUC back to life. The drama would be unbearable.
You can "over-kill" the ressurrection thing, but Buffy does it all the friggin' time. . .and it usually creates interesting storylines. There is a certain poetry to a story about vampires where humans have this tendency to rise from the grave just as much as the bad guys. Then there's the consideration about what harmful effects came about after bringing Lucien back from a knife-to-the chest.
I'd be just as happy if this didn't happen. But Lucien's return could force Galen and Kate to prove their feelings.
Mid Season
Well Gee as much as i am a fan of angst! I'd be a little wary of ressurecting characters from the dead - especially after last season!! Don't want any more bodily explosions thank-you!!
Also I'd hate to have a 'doubling up' effect - with Ryan, effectively 'coming back from the dead' this mid - season.
That said it was a really tough decision on my part to kill off Lucien, and one I didn't take lightly. It was done for plot and character development and also to even the odds between all the 'bad guy' deaths.
Anyway, I'm sure Kate and Galen can find plenty of other trials and tribulations that will test their devotion - that is one thing this game is NEVER short of! :D
Mid Season
LA By Night has a shipper contingent? You mean to tell me we actually have people rooting for characters to get together? Sheesh!
Mid Season
We may pretend we're here for the Kung Fu fighting and the vampires, but we're really here for the drama.
Mid Season
Well to be honest I don't watch Buffy to see her slay vampires and fight demons, i watch to see the burgeoning relationships between the characters (oh okay, yes i also watch to see Giles' gorgeousness!! - and Spike too, can't forget Spike... hmmmm) :D
Mid Season
I think this is the whole area that caused issues between us and the previous management. Most of us were here for the drama and angst, but their idea was to have a lot of killing and car chases.....
But Buffy and Angel have always been about far more than that. The intricate and evolving relationships between the characters is what keeps those shows alive and interesting. If every week was a simple case of 'there's a big monster, let's find it and kill it' the show would become very boring very quickly. Ditto this game.
We now have a group that seems to understand and want this. :)
Mid Season
And then there were the hot male actors, hmmmm, hmmm, - okay, I am ALLOWED to be shallow occasionally!
Mid Season
Well, OK, OK. I admit it, I drool over ASH and JM to... Oh, Louisa, wait'll you see Season 6. Your eyes are going to pop out of their sockets...
Hmmm, naked James Marsters..... hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Mid Season
What I love about the show is that they'll present a seemingly isolated plot complication episode, but that episode will have repercussions weeks, even seasons later! Their strength is that they don't forget the past. Most everything means something.
Mid Season
Here, here! I agree with everything said here, (especially the drooling over the male cast part). We want to be like the show in the development of great interpersonal storylines.
And I think I am a Kate/Galen shipper too.
Mid Season
People, just to reiterate what Louisa posted early on in this thread....
PLEASE post a date either as the post subject or as a sub-heading within the text when doing mid-season posts.
I know we didn't bother overly much in Season One, because the posts were more-or-less linear. But mid-season isn't, so PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE put a date.
*Pats a sobbing Louisa on the back.* There, there, maybe now they'll do it....
currently flogging self
  that was me. i did it. sorry. the date for the post with daye and jess should have been late morning of march the first.
Mid Season
Well.. Sid, they didn't forget anything on the past, but they forgot that they had Cordy,Angel,Oz, and Riley :P
Mid Season
NO!
They have a habit of bringing back old characters.
In a dream episode, I swear i saw Cordelia taking notes in a desk in the classroom.
Angel, they brought HIM back when Buffy was dating Riley.
Oz came back when Willow was getting into Tara.
Riley came back as a married man in season six.
No, they don't forget these folks at all. Buffy still mentions Riley. It accentuates her sex with Spike--in a guilty, negative way. I totally disagree with what you said. It's the opposite of what you said that makes me keep watching Buffy.
In the Buffy musical, Willow sang a bit about how she thought they were in some kid's "wacky Broadway nightmare." That was a DIRECT reference to a much earlier Buffy episode.
Nope. No amnesia there.
Game Board Posts
This is just a note to ask players to refrain from breaking their posts up with a line of "********" - please just five or six "******" is enough
When people put whole lines of "****" it seems to disable the board's ability to scroll, which means you have to open the page to it's full size - which is annoying at best.
I know Heather has had to edit posts that have had lines of "****" in the past, so please try to limit "***" to small amounts....
Thank you :D
