DESCRIPTION:
Like all faeries, Liala is the personification of elegance, grace and beauty, forever untarnished by the passing of time. In her natural form, Liala’s skin and hair are a bluish hue, matching the bright azure of her eyes, however, she has the ability to alter her appearance at will, and often takes the form of an attractive blonde woman.
Like the element she embodies, Liala can be both gentle and nurturing or powerful and destructive. While she enjoys the company of humans, she often forget the limitations of mortals, an as a result, she is regularly misinterpreted as arrogant.

BACKGROUND:
As a result of her immortality, Liala’s history predates the recordings of men, however many accounts of her can be traced in British folklore starting roughly around the 1400s. These accounts, although vague, have a common theme, generally depicting her as a benevolent spirit aiding sailors lost at seas.
In 1830, Liala experienced a powerful premonition, one which eventually led to her meeting with the half fae Darian Gray. At first, Liala was intrigued by the man, and the omen she had of him, but after nearly a decade of playing cat and mouse, Liala found herself in love with Darian.
Despite the taboo surrounding love affairs with mortals (or half mortals in this case) the two were inseparable for almost a century until 1920 when Liala mysteriously disappeared, only to resurface 87 years later to the shock and surprise of her former lover.
POWERS/ABILITIES:
As an undine, Liala has dominion over magics associated with her elemental kingdom.
- Mist Form: Altering the structures of her body, Liala can assume a gaseous mist form enabling her to float quietly, and sneak her way into otherwise inaccessible places.
- Shape Change: While in water, she can alter her form into a mermaid or various aquatic animals.
- Premonition, Clairvoyance & Empathy: Unlike other creatures, water faeries can navigate through the river of time, and as a result are renown for their extremely accurate clairvoyant abilities. Also, the water kingdom is the ruler of emotion, therefore allowing her the ability to sense the moods of other beings.
- Mesmerise: Like all faeries, Liala has the ability to enchant mortals of weak mind.
- Dream Walk: Because sleep is associated with the element of water, Liala can place herself in a trance like state and travel through the dreams of others.
- Healing: Like the element she stems from, Liala has the ability to cure various wounds and sicknesses.
- Magic: Liala, like all faeries, has intrinsic occult abilities, and is a master of spells and charms dealing with water.
