DESCRIPTION:
Sorrow is 6' tall around 165lbs with raven black hair and startling green eyes. He favours dark blue, green or black clothes and is rarely seen without a long coat. Around him hangs a sense of magic unfocused but certainly powerful.

BACKGROUND:
Tristan Barrington was born to a comfortably rich family and up until the age of twelve led a remarkably unfocused and indulged life. A life that changed forever on November 15 1990, when he watched his entire family slaughtered by vampires. For some reason he was spared that night though he bears the scars of a vampire's fangs. A brief police investigation ensued but nothing came of it and at the beginning of 1991 he was taken in by his Aunt.
Tristan never spoke of his ordeal at the hands of his family's killers but vowed to himself to revenge them. He took up the martial arts and delved into magic. In 1996 he attended Oxford University ostensibly reading Oriental Studies but in truth he spent a large period of his time investigating supernatural means to power. He left Oxford with a low class degree and a detailed knowledge of the more violent aspects of magic.
Having 'completed' his education he sought to use magic to enhance his already formidable skills yet strangely though such enhancements were within his ability few of them 'took', he was left with preternaturally sharp senses and a remarkably resilient body, but his strength and speed remained stubbornly normal. Having exhausted his knowledge of such magic he sought a weapon to make up for this failure. Finally he achieved a measure of success in this and he sought the deaths of any vampire who crossed his path, for five years he hunted vampires through the dark London nights and eventually came to the attention of The Society of Ulle.
The Society of Ulle are a loose affiliation of like minded individuals who share a passion for hunting the supernatural though their reasons are as varied as their membership. The society share resources and knowledge, and members are expected to help each other as needed. So in 2005 Sorrow came to L.A to aid a fellow Hunter in need.
Season One – Season Three ~
Sorrow also met a woman who was to be his soul mate in more ways than one. Halfling vampire Jadyn Lee wasn’t only the woman who he would fall in love with but also the daughter of the infamous vampire elder Valerian – Sorrow’s own sire and the murderer of his parents.
In an attempt to free Jade from the power of her father, Sorrow resigned himself to sacrificing his own life in an ancient ritual that would destroy The Brotherhood and their plans to manipulate the Slayer bloodline.
POWERS/ABILITIES:
Sorrow is an expert swordsman and skilled in many modes of combat. He is also a proficient mage, though his use of magic usually results in terrible pain that lasts for days depending on the extent of the magics used.
ITEMS:
Sorrow is rarely without his katana 'Hazashi' or Sunlight. It is a true sun-forged blade and is as lethal to vampires as humans. Since carrying such a weapon openly is difficult at best Sorrow has spent a great deal of time wrapping Hizashi in obfuscatory magic and humans rarely acknowledge the existence of this weapon in even the most unusual circumstances.
