WH Meetings: March 2007
I'm not sure who will and won't be at the 8th March meeting. I'm fairly certain we won't be seeing Alessa, Kate or Galen, and Jeet is so far still in a coma. Quin and Cole are entering their highly rebellious phase and may or may not appear... Cole almost certainly not. I'm not so sure about Quin.
That leaves Tash, Reah, Nikolai, Alice, Darian and possibly Daye (if she's not busy bonking someone).
Some of this Tash will have said to people privately in the days before the meeting, but she'll repeat everything here for completeness' sake. She'll talk about her encounter with Monk, his mention of 'Ghosts', Dukal, and that James used to be a Watcher, and Doug Anderson's assertions that James is important to defeat Dukal.
She will also mention about Tyler and his family who are now living in Apartment 100 (Mrs White's old apt), sharing the first floor with Darian, Adriana/Dominika, and Jeet (who's still in hospital).
She may also bring up the possibility of whether Adriana/Dominika and/or Tyler, Kelly and Shawn should be introduced to the White Hats, or at least told of the group's existence.

Nikolai will not be present at the meeting on the 8th - he could, in fact, make it a point to CALL Tash and go, "Um, I'm feeling very ill." It is entirely possible that Nik will be stubborn enough to be there on phone, or call later at night to find out what's going on.

At this moment in time, Quin'll probs still be turning up.
i'm not sure what time school usually finishes over there, but yeah, if it's AFTER the WH meeting initiates, Reah'll of had her leave early to be there :P that girl keeps getting attacked by vampires too many times for Reah's liking, hehe

Um, yeah, also just realised, hehe, that yes: Quin WILL still be at the WH meeting (Reah'll be making damn sure of that) decidedly quiet (surprise, surprise) and she'll be looking rather sheepish/annoyed under Reah's occasional scrutiny that'll be darting between Quin and Darian.
And at Darian's mention of Cole, Reah's attention will be sharply on Darian with an intense, icy agreement, possibly in some form of "Yes. Word of Cole would be nice." :evil: hehe

Ok...Daye will be at this meeting...and not at any others for quite a while...she'll probably seem different...cool and aloof, maybe kind of bored and she won't be forthcoming with any information at all, which means she won't be filling anyone in on the details of alessa's capture or rescue...if asked, she'll have a nonchalant brief answer...like..."Some idiots working for the Council nabbed her and I brought her home...no harm, no foul..."

Attendees? I know neither Daye nor Alessa will be there, and I think I'm fairly safe to say neither will Cole...
So, will Kate be there? (If she is, by then I'm figuing Galen won't).
What about Nikolai, Reah, Quin, Darian?
Jeet is still in his coma, of course...

Hmm, Alice - not that we've heard from John recently...
If you could list for certain whether you are or aren't going to be there, it would be very handy, especially as I've got a post done for Thursday night after the meeting and it'd be nice to be able to mention who was there. :)
For those that do attend, Tash will discuss her meeting with Delancre, putting it forward as a very positive development. She'll also talk about the encounter with herself and Ana and some of Delancre's demon troops against James, Cate and the Ghosts. (Post still to come, but don't worry, it'll be up before too long - if Lou ever posts the talk with Kate and Tash. :wink:)

Well I was waiting for Ally/Amanda/Adam to post the stuff at the Armoury since that's supposed to happen on the 12th - at least that was the last I heard. If nothing happens over the next few days then I'll put our collab up Heather, though obviously it's nicer to keep things as chronological as possible, and though the stuff at the armoury doesn't have a direct effect on our post, it is related.
On the topic of the White Hat meeting, Kate definately WON'T be there. Though I'm toying with the idea of Galen being there. Though if he is I doubt he would be very talkative, concidering everything that's happening he'd no doubt be very quiet and introspective like he's lost in his own thoughts. If he does say anything he'd probably be direct, abrupt and to the point - don't know if that makes any difference but I thought I'd include it anyway.

Nikolai will call to offer apologies, and plead that he "has something scheduled that I just can't get out of" on the 15th.
And don't worry, the post should be up in the next few days - Amanda went and gave us clearance to start posting, but I was waiting to catch Ally on-line at the same time to start.
If Tash mentioned the Delancre meeting to Nikolai, he'll state that he has concerns about the council, and be rather suspicious of Delancre's explanation without verification (a good quote - "Lavrenti had a saying: never tell any more of the truth than you have to when dealing with a possible rival"). Quite simply put, the impression should come across that he's approaching the WH's relations with outside groups like he would potential alliances in his KGB days.

Ok, the 15th was pretty small, since nobody but Galen showed up. lol
But I was hoping to collab a meeting soon - the 22nd would be perfect, if anyone's actually going to be there. Whoever is at that meeting will have a fun time, I assure you. :wink:
I know it's a little in advance, but if you could indicate who'll be at the White Hat meeting on 22nd March (that's at 3:30pm still, Adam :wink:), please let me know.
Since multiperson collabs take a while, best if we get started writing it as soon as possible, so it can be ready to post on the 22nd game time.

Quite obviously, Daye will not be there...but it's possible Alicia may want to attend, to discuss what she considers to be Daye's erratic and troublesome behavior. Of course, that's up to you, Heather.

Ok, so we have Tash (me), Galen (Lou), Darian (Shaun), Nikolai (Adam) and Jeet (Neil) showing up to the 22nd meeting. Has anyone heard from Amanda? I have no idea about Reah at this point... Also, we could have Alicia Wyldling (Kris?)...
Tash will be sending out messages to all the White Hats (except Alessa, for reasons that will become clear when I post the 15th March...) to exhort them to show up to this meeting, as Tash has important news she wishes to pass on. So everyone can expect such messages on their answering machines, etc, during the week leading up to the 22nd.
If she speaks to anyone directly, either when she calls them or if they ring back to confirm they're coming, and they ask what it's about, she'll just say that she wants to tell everyone when they're together. But that it's good news, not something terrible. She wants to see peoples' reactions to her news first hand, where she can have a full sense of what they're thinking and feeling, rather than over the phone.
Most of the messages will probably go out on the 17th/18th March... That is, the weekend (during our time jump). I shall endeavour to at least mention her intention to make these calls in one of my pre-jump posts.
So, what we now have to do is arrange a collab time between all of us. Adam, Shaun and I are in the same time-zone, and Neil and Lou share another. If Amanda's part of it, her zone is a bit more tricky. I'll send her a PM to see if she's coming or not. Kris, if you want to write for Alicia that'd be handy too.
This weekend would seem to be an excellent time to do it, if we can get everyone together. I'm flexible, so I can arrange to be free to pretty much any of it.
Let me know what times are best for you guys, and we can get this thing on the road. :)

Shaun has told me he's good for both Saturday mornings and Sunday mornings, but has to work both Sat and Sun arvos.
I'm good with either Sat or Sun morning, and that makes it lunchtime or thereabouts for Lou and Neil - is one day more convenient than another for that?
Kris is three hours earlier than Shaun, Adam and I - but she's an early bird anyway. :wink: Right, Kris?
And for Amanda an early morning start US Eastern Daylight Time makes for mid-evening Sat or Sun night. Again, is one more convenient than the other?

Ok, I've also has an msn message from Adam, who would prefer Saturday since he's working Sunday from 8am... but he does have access at his work if Saturday turns out to be impossible.
So, for now it looks like Saturday morning could be a goer... (that's tomorrow, guys).

I have things to do tomorrow morning that I don't really know if I can get out of, though I'll try. If not, I'll probably get online about 3pm at the latest, I know Heather said lunchtime which was a bit vague so I don't know if 3pm is late or not. I guess the only concideration is if Amanda is joining in, since we can't be starting too late for her.

Looks like we have a bit of a clash with Shaun's work (he'll be leaving around 10:30am), but I think it's looking like something around a 10am start or so.
Mind you, I still have no idea whether that time's going to be ok for Kris (7am Sat), Neil (3pm Sat) or Amanda (midnight Sat/Sun). :?
*sigh*
Anyway, to give everyone a chance to get themselves into gear, this is what to expect when your characters arrive at Tash's place...

Tash was feeling more positive about today’s meeting than she had been just after the last one. Phone calls during the week had elicited at least some responses so this time she knew there’d be more than just her and Galen rattling around. She’d put together a dossier on what she knew so far of Ambrose Delancre’s LA operations, including the abilities of all his troops, his involvement with the Ghosts, and the observations she’d made while training and patrolling with Anabella Graziani. During the week they’d rooted out some large nests of vampires, clearing out a significant portion of the city. If they kept up at this rate, they’d soon have LA emptier of vampires than the Brotherhood’s reign of terror had engendered.
She nodded slowly to herself. Yes, it was better that most of the White Hats members only found out about her agreement with Delancre now, when she had more to show them than mere promises. Besides, it was still only an agreement in principle. Delancre understood that she needed time to gauge the reactions of the other White Hat members. She’d been clear to him that theirs was not a hierarchy so much as a collection of equals. If most of the others didn’t want to take up his offer – despite its obvious advantages – then she would have to abide by that decision.
So she’d spent all night last night collating the information she had gathered, and presented it all in neat folders for everyone’s perusal. Now the folders lay in a neat stack on her coffee table. Tash surveyed them with some pride. She looked forward to seeing the excitement on the others’ faces when they realised what a fantastic opportunity this was. Alessa’s rejection didn’t faze her – of course Alessa was prejudiced against the Council now. But the troubles twenty years ago with Morris hadn’t really stemmed from the Council. It was Morris who’d flaunted their regulations and brought doom upon himself. And Tash was sure if Alessa would only allow her memories to be brought to the fore, she’d see that it wasn’t really the Council that had kidnapped her but some rogue elements within it.
Confident of the proposal’s warm acceptance, Tash eagerly reached for the door when she heard the first knock.
