I suggest sending a friend a letter. A real honest-to-god hand written letter. Why? Becasue I have made terrific friends through LABN and I consider them to be some of my closest buds becasue I see them all the time and I have gotten drunk and laughed and cried and generally had a good time.
Not everyone is so blessed as we to have a good online community that we share in. And those people communicate via letters. Do it to preserve what is important at the core of LABN and what makes it work best...friendship.

YES, those kind of letters you can touch and smell and sometimes even not understand the handwriting!!! There's so much satisfaction in receiving them and opening the envelope!!

I want a letter. I love letters. I hardly ever get them, though. I like writing on paper, with a pen, and my own goddess-given hands. Letters are amazing, powerful things. My children go crazy when they've got mail, real substantial mail.

Well I decided to forgo the letter writing exercise (have you seen the state of my handwriting?? :?) Instead I baked a cake, well that is true if you substitute 'baked' for 'bought' :D Actually this was my birthday cake - cool huh? But I'm giving it on loan to LABN to celebrate our second birthday.
