Well, I got my GCSE results today.

For those that don't know what GCSE's are, they are the tests you do in the last year of secondary school at 16. Your entire life can be based on these tests, as some college subjects (and some colleges) only let you in with certain grades. Each subject has tests, and they're graded A*, A, B, etc, etc down to F. E and lower is a fail I think.

With a nervous gait I hurried on down to my school at 11 this morning to collect them. I have to say, I felt awful, I thought I had done terribly.

So it was a pleasent surprise to find I had two B's in Science, B's in Graphics and IT, C's in French and Religous Education (not that I care, but it's better than failing :P), D in Spanish (thought I was going to fail!) FIVE A* in English, English literature, English Speaking and Reading,Geography and History AND B IN MATHS!!!

I suppose I should mention I thought I suck at maths. I transferred to do the higher paper in the last year, because I needed a B on the higher paper to get into college. AND NOW I CAN! YAY YAY YAY! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I can go to college! I can go to college!

Sorry if this seems like boasting (   ), but I went through so much blood, sweat and tears that I am over the moon, particularily with maths! This was the one subject I HAD to pass and I did! YAY!

Okay, gonna go calm down now :p

As a moderately sucessful post-student I can dsay that the testing is over but the challenges just keep mounting. Thankfully however to all that testing I feel you are capable of not becoming a burden on the social welfare system.

Excellent job!

Though if you still want to be a burden on society, you can always do like me and study philosophy. :)

Will think for food.....

Come on, Ad... Don't you mean:

Will Think For *Greek* Food and *CHOCOLATE*

My GCSE results

Well, as everyone knows there are four major food groups:

The Greek Group, the Chinese Group, the Chocolate/Sweets group, and the Italian Group. There is also a fifth, unofficial group, broadly labled "Everything Else."

I prefer the seafood group - you all know the one:

See food and eat it. :D

:P just found this thread.... Congratteh Matteh!

p.s. I took a Statistic GCSE one year early and during august, got the result back..... Got a C!!!!!! WOOOOOOOO!

Considering there was a vast amount of time I spent taking the course that was spent crying or rocking back and forth chanting "I'm gonna fail... I'm gonna fail..." as a mantra, I think I did quite well!
