Pass the pigs is online...its just a placeholder, but I got the impression from a recent WAG entry that folks here like that game...

Pass the Pigs
i've heard of this game here for the first time (proves the theory of me living in a cacoon) and also because pigs aren't very popular here. I had fun playing this game (mostly when i was winning, which wasn't a lot of times....)....and i just wanted to know the origins of this game.
Also is this game played in real life on a board or did it infact start from being a computer game. (for some reason i had an image of people throwing little plastic pigs and observe how they land, and counting the points like "yatzee")
Pass the Pigs
It's a real game, with little plastic pigs and everything. I played it a while ago when I worked in the vault of a local gaming company. Pigs is what we did when we were slow on the weekends
Pass the Pigs
The origins of the game go back to a game called knucklebones. The knuckle bones of a pig have a distinctive shape that does not vary much from pig to pig. You would toss two bones and then depending on how they landed get points (sound familiar?)
Plastic and moulding technology have provided this less grisley alternative.
