Galleries appear out of thin air. Okay, I'm lying. They are created by the site admin (me) from pictures sent by the players (you). This goes for both galleries for PCs as well as NPCs.
The simplest way is to attach the pictures to an email that says "Gallery Picures" or a reasonable equivalent. Address it to Admin@LateNightGames.com and fire it into the ether.
If you want more info on your gallery page like (but not limited to)...
- A short bio of why you chose that actor...
- A link to a significant NPC
- A gallery of your personal photos
- A single picture (called the "big pic')
- or anything else...
...You have to tell me. As my friend is fond of remarking, the telepathy module has not yet been installed on the network. It helps if you plan it out some by sending everything at once rather than dribbling it into my box a picture a week.
A good gallery has between 10 and 40 pictures. There should be one good picture of the PC standing in a more-or-less relaxed standing pose (for the 'big pic'). Try to get pictures that show the emotional range of the CHARACTER not so much the ACTOR.
If the picture does not show the actor in something your character would wear, thats okay. The gallery is to show the character's EMOTIONS. There are some really good places to look for pictures...

I'm preparing Alessa's gallery, but I have a question. Do these pictures have size restrictions like avatars do? or can I send you any kind of picture?

No. There are no size restrictions. If you send me a bunch of tiny pictures then you get a tiny gallery. If you send me a bunch of monster huge pictures than I'll gut them down a little to a more reasonable size.

Ok, now I have another question... I thought that once I had a picture gallery I would be able to use one of those pictures as avatars too, but then Alessa isnt in the list of avatar galleries, so I guess I was wrong, thus...

The same way you get a picture gallery. Dave has to create it for you... I'm not sure this is needed, now that we have the ability to upload files to use as avatars directly from our comps... The avatar galleries were needed before that function came about... And I know that some of the players still use them, since they don't bother keeping copies of the image files on their systems. *nudges Robin* Heh heh...
