I for one, like to know what other players think of my writing, so dont presume for the rest of us, Sid! :D

If you want to know what other players think of your writing, you should write something! It's been awhile. What. . .since March 9th?

 Too true... but it's not only my fault, you all went gambling and left the rest of us alone!!

And it was March 14th! :D

Hah! Nice attempt an at excuse, Missy Girl. Don'tcha know a writer writes best when alone? Nice try, nice try.

Oh, but i'm not a writer, Sid. I'm just a player who writes. And playing is better done in company.

Btw, do BBCodes work for you people? I've had to manually write my [i ][/i ]s for some days now.

AAAAARGH.

You win.

:P

Woo hoo! Another one for the good guys.

We roleplayers can't be letting people try to convince us we're writers. :D The only time I ever write solos is when I have to in order to get the next series of collabs set up.

I have never written anything that's not related to a game, I dont even write in Spanish since i havent found a game of this kind in that language!

Not a story, not a poem, not a fan fic... just game posts. :)

Laugh it up, fuzzballs.

Yes, yes. Once again, I'm wrong. I totally agree with what you're saying. It's easy to forget, because of the form that this site takes.

Personally, I think you should have used the screen writing format when LABN began. (God help me; I'm siding with Derek's player--remember him? What was his name? Andrew?) The first-person approach of teleplays seems a better choice to represent what actually goes on during a table-top game: First-person visual descriptions of action, broken up with dialogue lines.

So, in my defense, it's easy to forget that LABN is a game first, prose fiction second.

But I do hope to get a chance to actually play when Season 5 begins.

Not surprisingly, I have to disagree. The two go hand-in-hand. It's a game, yes, but it takes the form of writing - which means that you're all writers, whether you admit it or not, whether or not you engage in any other form of fiction writing or not. Just because we're playing a game doesn't mean that we're going any less fiction writing... just that the conventions of said writing is not what you standardly think of, for example, when you think of a contemporary (or even ancient) novel.

Touché.

Ok, can we split the difference? I'm a writer who doesnt write alone, and who doesnt write for the sake of writing, but of playing; and...
I'm a player who writes some kind of fiction in order to play, and who needs other's collaboration to go on.

That i have a story to tell, of course, but that story depends so much on the rest of you that loses some of its importance. For example, i'm dropping my idea of turning one of my npc in view of Tash's recent vamping. It wouldnt be quite as effective now, so i'll save it for later.

Oh, you were planning on turning an NPC? Sorry... Mind you, Tash's vamping has been in the winds since last June. :)

Yeah, I was. Remember i asked about returning him his soul? But it's not big deal, i'll save it for later. :D
