Saw Peter Pan Yesterday . . .

And there is one thing I have to say about the movie:

"I DO BELIEVE IN FAIRIES, I DO I DO!"

Lol, you need to see the movie to understand that. But it's a good movie. Go see it. The kid who plays PP (Jeremy Sumpter I believe his name is) is a real cutie and Jason Isaacs is well . . . well he's Jason Isaacs, goddammit! You know you're about to experience 2 hours of pure joy with Jason Isaacs on board.

This version blows the cartoon version out of the water (no pun intended). Jeremy is promising, one of the few I've seen in years, along with the chick that plays Wendy.

I give it 4/5 *'s.

Wow... I thought I was the only person to like that movie! *yay* wasn't it great? By the third time round we were chanting "I do believe in faeries! I do! I do!" along with the movie *lol* It was way better than the cartoon and much more along the lines of the original story with all its "darker" elements~

I wish they'd done a longer closer up on the faeries dancing! they were so pretty... ooh! shineeeey

As a 18 yr old guy, I am prevented from watching... not that I would want to or anything ya know.

Actually John and I went to see it over the weekend and I was pleasantly surprised. It was visually appealing and innocent without being childish.

I was a little tired of being hit over the head with Peter Pan's perpetual child motif but that is the nature of the story and the book does keep revisiting that particular theme.

Overall I'd say it was a well executed adaptation.

I actually took the kids to see this 3 weeks before it came out (yes, another of my free, special sneak previews.) We all really liked it. I thought the actors playing Peter and Wendy were very, very good. I had actually recently reread the book, so I was pleasantly surprised by the movie. It was a good adaptation, and it was lushly visually stunning.

My son adored it and my niece, notoriously untouched by such things, actually cried.
