Just for yucks I did a word count on the "printer-friendly" version of the "Something Wicked" book and it currently stands at 81,000 words+ (almost 82,000).
That means it in printed form it would be around 320 pages.
It's going to finalize into a good-sized novel, folks. I'll update this thread in the comments periodically.
For comparison:
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, J.K. Rowling – 257,000 words.
- The Stand, Stephen King – 464,000 words.
- War and Peace, Leo Tolstoy – 560,000 words.
- The Sun Also Rises, Ernest Hemingway – 68,000 words.
- Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury – 46,000 words.
- The Color Purple, Alice Walker – 67,000 words.
- Wuthering Heights, Emily Bronte – 108,000 words.
- Ulysses, James Joyce -- 267,198 words
- Women in Love, DH Lawrence -- 181,668 words
- Moby Dick, Herman Melville -- 213,724 words
- Pride and Prejudice Jane Austen -- 121,920 words
- Crime and Punishment, Fyodor Dostoevsky -- 203,346 words

crazy
wow, that's insane! Can you imagine how many books LABN 1 would have been?
I recall we actually did page
I recall we actually did page counts on some of them. I think season 4 clocked in at around 800 pages of printed text. Yeah, we're a prolific bunch. When you stop to think about it: everyone here has likely written, on their own, at least one standard, full-length novel.
Now, that impresses me.

I just checked my Season 4
I just checked my Season 4 file. It has 1553 pages. A4 size, Verdana 9 font.
Impressive, huh?
