Season 6, even though i haven't seen it all yet!
The storylines running from this one have roused all kinds of different emotions from me...especially last night when i balled my eyes out after what i'd seen actually settled in (sorry again to those i just quickly jumped on with a quick hi 'n' bye :oops: ) I'm on the edge of my seat, and ripping my hair out over the wait for the next episode!
Plus i can't get past the main evil characters of this series...tehe :lol:
I take it back, all of it. In the end, Joss knows what is best for us and like a benevolent father figure, he delivers. Season 6 was so much more than I originally gave it credit for. Like all children, there will be growing pains, but we are so much better for it. I must give credit where credit is due. Season 6 was amazing!

My favorite season is actually Season 2, but I like Season 3.. The reason? It had dopplegangland, The Wish, Graduation Day 1 and 2, episode w/ Faith in it. Also... other good thing about Season 3 is.. WILLOW!!!!! Haha.. Vampire Willow was a fun thing to watch, seeing Alyson Hannigan play really different role.
Other favorite is Season 2.. the reason is... that I loved Spike's introduction, and his evilness, Angel's turn to Evil, Oz turning into a werewolf, alot of good stuff.
But I gotta give it to Season 3.. because this season was the last time you see Cordelia, Angel, Faith (Sorta)...

u know i atually liked seaoson six... it was quite good in its own way.... it was different
but my favourite remains at four. It had to be the funniest series ever. thats when spike was at his best! mmm..... spike...... *snaps outta it*
it introduced anya fully, tara was introduced adn everything was funny.
especially spike.....mmmmm.....spike.......
apart from the whole "riley-existing" thing.. the season was definately very cool!

I first got into the series during season 5. I loved it--the cheesey acting and outright rudeness of Glory, and then Spike and his chip and resulting sarcasm-tactics of "killing" his prey--I was hooked, whereas before I was just a casual viewer.
The grand storyline reminded me of the Trigon tale (in a weird way) from the Teen Titans comics I read in high school. Buffy had gotten my attention.
But, though I've not seen all of season 6, I'm so impressed. And after the musical episode, it's clear that Joss Whedon and the entire cast are THE hopelessly unsung heroes of Hollywood.
Season 6 has tossed my emotions around more than once. I'm engaged by the character development and conflict. I really like the previous years for many reasons, but season 6 is as it should be, the acme of their skill. I am eager for season 7.
It's hard not to ramble about this subject. I don't know anyone who is into the show.
And as long as I'm rambling, let me say that I really feel for Spike. Face it: Buffy's a bitch. God love her, but she's a bitch. Spike deserved better than she gave him--okay, so we'll have to ignore seasons 1-4 to accept that statement. But he said it best to Dawn: "Oh yeah. And big sis has been treating me so well up until this point."
I totally found her recent love affair with Spike (and later their conflict) believable.
I'm sorry, but I can't stop bringing up the musical. I've burned it on CD, am listening to it now. It was more than a collection of songs; it was character-propelling. It was clever. It was passionate. Perfectly blessed and blended.
The "show-stopping" number was amazing. The deep-felt hurt in Buffy's voice as she sang about how she'd been ripped from heaven. The next-seen look of horror on Willow's face as she realized what she'd done. Buffy's decision to dance herself into the literal fire. And Spike, he saved her from combustion.
I loved how they defeated the demon, but only "kind-of" won. They were left with their secrets revealed. And the rational Lord of the Dance gave them a "see you in hell" farewell. Brilliant.

Oh yeah:
I voted for season 6. ("UGH"). I'm not ashamed. Great year.
ok so I havn't seen all of season 6 yet
but so far it's been bloody good lots of character building which strengthens the whole show and also the acting has been brilliant
maybe it gets worse (most people seem to think so)
but I really like what I've seen so far and wait expectantly for every new show (I've seen 9 eps of season 6)

Such a tough choice but I'd have to say Season 2 (BBC currently showing the re-runs too!) It had it all - Angel going evil, only to have his soul restored in the final minutes before he was sent to hell!
Now THAT was a finale!! Plus when Jenny Calender was killed - oh that was just TOO sad :(

I think angel is right now a far more entertaining show. I love the current story line and from what I've heard about the upcomeing eps were in for some great stuff yet.
i got hooked onto btvs halfway through season 1 but 2 still remains my favourite!
the whole tortured relationship between angel and buffy, his turning from good to evil, the season's tragic ending... everything! ohhh... and let's not forget, it was also the season where we got our first taste of spike! heh...

i think the best writing on the show ever happened in season 5
i keep holding out for something good to come out of season 6, but i am losing hope
almost just watching out of a sense of duty
now, angel on the other hand...

Yeah, Drew, vampire willow!
I loved that. Mostly, though, because it foreshadowed who Willow was going to become.
1) Lesbian.
2) Evil (end of Season 6)
While during the vamp/willow episode, we were all thinking, "That can't be sweet Willow." Hmph! Now we know better.

Have to say season 3, simply because the Mayor is my favorite villain.
Season 4 would be a close second, since I enjoy reading about various conspiracy theories - and the Initiative and 314 would certainly qualify.

Season 5 because it really brings out the characters inner feelings and inadequacies as well as the heights to which they are capable.
I also thought it rounded out the WB run quite well. It could have ended there and I would have felt closure.
