Ok, it's officially seven by now, so I guess it's time to bring discussions to a more formal place.
To go on with this... let's say revival, a time jump of about 5-10 years it's been proposed (Adam said that 9 is a powerful number, so I'd go with that :wink: ). However, we need to know how everybody who's still playing stands at that time. Also we need to decide in general terms what happened to LA, season 5 events and the Hellmouth during that lapse.
Let's use this thread to state all PC and NPC status and the universe in general by the time of the jump.

Ok here are some other points we discussed last night
DEAD people: Alicia, James (Ripper), Andrea, Reah and Quin (providing Amanda doesnt post and say otherwise), Darian, Darlome, Vincent, Ellis, Liala, and anyone else who we can think of lol.
Coven of Sindel was destroyed during the events of season 5. Also, the Watcher's Council has been severly damaged, and has no presence in LA anymore (and they have no interest in coming back).
Poplar is gone, the Bibliophile is a Starbucks now.
Kris had something planned also, but Ill let her mention that one.

Alessa is Alessa Longwood now, she married Ellis somewhen during the fifth season. She still lives in the Big House. Longwood Inc. is strong and the Demon Police is still working, although not much in LA.
Ellis died.
Mike is alive.
Inés is lost.
Morris disappeared.

I haven't thought this through all that much, but having read what others have wrote I think that Kate and Galen will have vanished - perhaps presumed dead after the season 5 finale (whatever that may have been). But essentially they will have gone to ground without a trace, I'm not planning on 'playing' them (though it'd be nice to write 'midseason' stories about them) and you never know - they COULD make a surprise reappearance sometime in the future. :wink:
Those are my thoughts at the moment anyway.

I've discussed this with Robin, so I'm okay to post it now.
One minor correction, I can't bear to do it, so the Bib still stands, as last we saw it, with one minor exception, it is now operated by Josh (the cook) and Daye has no ties to it other than owning the building.
Okay...that said. First off...my list of dead and alive.
Alicia is dead. She and the struggling remnants of LA's branch of the WC were killed at the end of Season 5.
Josh is still alive. Sam and Maia are both still around.
Sam is still running the Foundation, but with the WH defunct, it is more a charitable, philanthropic organization, although Sam has a "museum" where he keeps all treasured artifacts of the WH and keeps hope alive. His main focus is keeping Maia safe and waiting for something good to happen.
That brings me to Daye. Alas...Daye...is...alive...but you might end up wishing she wasn't. What Robin and I have discussed and discussed with some of you is that Daye and Marcus have gone down a dark path over the passing time. They have set themselves up as a sort of "wicked corporation", a new age Wolfram and Hart running much of the LA underground via the Dalton Corporation. In the interest of business and keeping everything under their joing control, they have married. Together, they police the vampire and demon gangs, run many of the less than respectable businesses, and monitor much of the shady activity by the supernatural community in Los Angeles nowadays.
The deal Daye has struck with the surviving members of the WH is that if they stay out of her and Marcus' way then they can all peacefully coexist.
That's what I have in mind, anyway. Let me know what you all think. I will of course not being playing Daye as a PC, but she will stick around as an NPC.

Ok good the ball is rolling. Now all that is needed is people to start writing and updating profiles.
I was thinking about starting it back in 2015 on Christmas Eve (you know make it that much sadder). Since im going to be playing older Cole, it would be from his point of view, maybe even recapping certain things, though I wont expand on other people's stories.
Anyone have any objections, or can I start posting?

Go ahead and start. There's a few more things that I need to work on before I can start, including getting things together; and I might have to run something by Kris anyway.
Christmas Eve seems fine. I have the week after off, though Jen and a few friends and I may be trying to go to New York to see Avenue Q.

To some degree. I'll be home tomorrow some, Adam, so I'll try to get on and connect with you about whatever you "might" need to run by me. I'll also get my new character profile together this weekend and try to get my darling husband to sit down and help me hash out some Daye/Marcus stuff.
Heather and Dave, if you are around, please drop us all a line and let us know what you think. And anyone else we haven't had chime in, we would really like your input on what to do with your characters.

Wow. Well, Tash is already dead of course. Dave has said he's very unlikely to be able to join in 'cause he's got so much other stuff going on.
To get my RP fix lately I've joined an rp site based on the Dark Alleyway game that Lou got us all onto umpteen years ago. I've still got my first two vampires, even, though I'm rp'ing with a third. But it's nothing like the atmosphere we had going here, that's for sure.
Hmm, I wonder how that char would go in the Buffyverse... *thinks* In a nutshell, he was an Anglican priest as a human, with a nominally normal but really pretty dodgy childhood (fire and brimstone father who pushed him into priesthood). When he was turned his schizophrenia became full-blown and he now "hears" the voice of God reciting bits and pieces from Revelations and Isaiah and sometimes Leviticus. All the really nasty stuff. :) So he justifies his killing and feeding of humans by saying it's God using him as his tool (hence his name, Left Hand of God).
*shrugs* Dunno though. I might just make a whole new char for here. I did have one in mind that I wanted to create for Season 5 but just never got around to it. You all know how it is... :wink:

You should do a character profile as soon as possible: Look down to LABN Character Proposals as a place to get a template and post it there. Then as folks weigh in they'll move it over to the PCs forum.
As always ask questions...make suggestions and things will move forward.

Sure, no worries. If you go onto the rp site without a pre-existing vampire in the Dark Alleyway game itself (a fairly basic move and click game) you need to be "sired" in the "Born in Darkness" thread, then your sire will give you their biter link which will get you into DA. Once you have a vampire in DA you'll be able to move more freely around the rp site.

I had to...too many of the spammers were signing up and approving themselves...lthough to be fair it was only a few.
I will also tell you that Kor must (MUST) make a post by monday or their character profile will get deleted as do all 0-poster profiles. Even 1 post will keep your profile alive. Sp post a 'Hi' in Members lounge or something.
That is to keep the spammer-bot population under control.

Well, that's your decision. In my opinion, Kieran's story was very undeveloped. I think you still had lots to say about him, but you have to take into account that almost ten years passed since the last time you wrote him...
