....or, how South Park amuses us. The following is, from memory, an attempt to reconstruct parts of a question on today's exam in historical geology, in which we killed Kenny about 15 or so times.
--------------------------------------
The University of Colorado's Geology Department, working on a grant with the Department of Hypothetical Physics, has developed a (somewhat) working time machine. Professor K. McKormack is sent back in time with the team to various parts of Earth History. Unfortunately, every time he goes back in time, Professor McKormack dies. Match the geological period on the left with the most likely cause of death from the selections at the right. (Assume we gave him an oxygen tank to avoid atmospheric problems)
Selections included:
- Munched on by a hungry 10m-long Placoderm
- At ground zero for impact with Mars-sized Theia
- Pinched to death by a Eurypterid
- Trips on archaecyathid reef and drowns
- Scuba geer tangled in crinoid medow and suffocates
- Ends up in a detrial uranite deposit which goes critical
- Caught in the lava flows of the Siberian Trapps erupting
OMG! We killed Kenny!
