I'm going to start coding this over the next few weeks and see if I can finish it before the LNG 4th anniversary in February 2007.
I'll be adjusting the designs of the LABN and FL sites too to clean them up some and make them a little cleaner. On top of that I need to make a SW Triad site.
Anyone who wants to send me a Photoshop layout to use I'll be grateful it will dramatically cut down on my design time.

Wow, this looks so cool Dave! I'm really excited (sad I know :P) call me fighter - shiny (new) things always make me go :multi:
I have to admit, I've been trying for a little while to come up with something for Star Wars Triad, a layout or something but I have no idea how to go about it anad apart from bashing around a few ideas for a banner or logo I haven't got much (though I did find some cool SW shareware fonts that we could use).
Anyway, I'd love to help out if I can.

I love the new design, Dave :D , and i'd love to help you, but my abilities at photoshop are nul, to say the least. However, i think that the image of Vorgrell (the one with the different terrains, remember it?) could look great in the SW site. Just an idea.

I did a mock-up of a SW-themed site a couple years ago. I don't know if I still have it, but I'll look through my back-ups -- if I do, you're welcome to use any/all of the design elements. If I don't have it backed up... well, then you can't use it :wink:

I was just wondering, since quite a bit of redesign is going off, whether it would be possible to have a sub forum within the LABN NPC's to separate deceased NPC Characters from living ones. It would just make it a bit easier for me to keep things updated if once a character is deceased I could shove it off somewhere else.
I've seen sub forums on other forums but dont' know if the phpBB supports it.
What does anyone else think, or am I the only one with the anal-retentiveness to actualy ponder these things? :wink: (you don't have to answer that last part btw :P )

PHPBB version 3.0 is supposed to support Subforums and there is a Major Board MOD that supports it in version 2.0.x but It might also open some security holes and so for that reson I am leary of it (as well as it might break some of the nice Themes we have too).
I am considering installing the BETA of 3.0 of PhpBB which is available...but that is a consideration still...not something I'll take lightly.
I am going to be moving the URL of the Forum to http://latenightgames.com/forum from its current location. Don't worry too much I'll install an alias so the old links will still work. This will give me an opportunity to have two sets of board software running at the same time to test things.

I still have a few things to tweak in the design befre installing it permanent-like. Feedback is welcome!

I agree, it's fab :D (though it took a while for the full style to load on my computer, prob cos it's not cached - though NOW it is!) I notice that Mythic Scrolls hasn't made the cut, does this mean it's gonna be axed from the board? Yes I realise it's not been active since it was resurrected. :?

Love it Dave, Though in the pict the left text was black and I prefered that just because its easier to see. Other than that great job!

Actually that text is a dark brown...but the net effect is the same. That is except for the Gameboards link which I made to look like a LabelMaker so it would really stand out.
The StarWars Font was an imitation of the StarWars Episode III fonts and It seems to work just fine.
I noticed it is slightly wider than 1024pixels wide which isn't a problem if you screen is 2800 px wide (like mine) but might be more of an issue if (like H.) your screen only GOES to 1024 wide. I need to recount my widths.
Did anyone have problems with the custom scrollbar? Can everyone see the peek-a-boo graphic at the bottom of the page (where the text flows behind it)...do the menus roll-over with a bloody fingerprint?

Actually the fingerprint moves up the links but there is also a permenant fingerprint on the Glossary (which is where the page opens, I assumed this was why but I thought I'd mention it.)

okay here is the new layout for LABN. Comments are helpful. Look for the design to go up in the next month or so.
The "rollover effect" for the menu is a pair of evil eyes...still working on that one I'm not totally happy with it.

While I am at the redesign I have made "Things we felt compared to share" latest post to appear on the front page of LNG. So be careful about putting anything personal there unless you want everyone in the world to see it.

Hey, show of how long its been since i was last on here. The site looks awesome! I hope to contribute to it some day soon and see one of my posts on the main page ^_^ tehe.
