This is seriously one of the best movies i've seen...EVER
It wasnt a huge hit, and I dont think it played in a ton of theatres, but its serioulsy 100% worth renting. Its got a pretty big all star cast (Sandra Bullock, Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon, Brendan Fraser,Jennifer Esposito, Ludacris, Ryan Phillippee ...[Lou, no comments])
Anyways, the whole thing is about racism and all its different forms. There are several stories following the different characters all going on at once, and they all intertwine at the end. Its seriously thought provoking, and Ill tell you that after my friends and I watched it, we discussed the issues brought up in the movie for a good 30 mins
Also whats amazing, is all the characters are realistically flawed and its hard to really LIKE any of them...Its a very serious, depressing movie, but completely realistic to how society is. The day after seeing it, I went and bought it (and not from the used section in Blockbuster, i mean i payed full price :P
GO RENT THIS NOW!!!!!!!!!! AGAIN its called CRASH
If anyone has seen it, I'd like to hear what you guys thought of it.

Crash
I saw this on Wednesday, my first day of limbo in London after Dave had to leave me at the airport on Tuesday. My niece lives in Clapham (just south of London's CBD) and since my Green Card wasn't going to be arriving until Thursday I had Wednesday to myself.
So I visited St Paul's Cathedral (something we'd wanted to do on our main trip, but had run out of time) and then went to the movies. I arrived at the cinema at 3:15 pm and based my movie choice on what was playing next. My choices were 40-Year-Old Virgin, which I'd heard was very funny, and Crash, of which I'd heard nothing at all.
So I asked the bloke what it was about and he told me the postage stamp version of how Shaun described it, so I decided to go for it rather than the comedy.
And I have to agree with Shaun. It was one of the most thought-provoking and involving movies I've seen for a while. One moment I'd be empathising with a particular character, then I'd be wanting to shake them and tell them they were an idiot. I could rave on a bit longer, but Dave is waving my lunch under my nose...

I'm surprised that you both say that you hadn't heard much about this film. Though I actually didn't go to see it when it was at the cinema it was quite heavily promo'ed in this country and there were lots of great reviews said of it too.
