I was thinking we need some Forum Games like we have on LABN. Anyway, here is my contribution, the ABC games works like this: we choose a topic say, Movies or Books or Actors, and then each entry runs from A-Z. (For Example: Films - Armageddon to Zoolander.)

So lets start, the first catagory is, funnily enough, Superheroes/Villans (from anywhere, TV, comics, Cinema...)

Wog Boy

Yep, another Aussie movie. This one was a pretty good comedy about what it's like to be a Greek living in Australia.

Xianggang zhizao ("Made in Hong Kong") a film from 1997

In my defense, its not like I purposefully tried to use the same thing twice, I just forgot I had already used it 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

Well, at least I got the game moving again...

You Only Live Twice Well I couldn't let this topic go without mentioning at least ONE Bond film :D

"Zorro" the one starring Alain Delon, a French-Italian production.

Oh, come on!! Don't make me choose another topic!

Ok guys, this one should help with our storytelling too by making us think of different words for emotions or states of mind.

I'll start with one of the traditional ones:

Anger

In case you're not sure of the scope of this topic, alternatives could be anxiety, amorous, or attentive. (Anxiety being an emotion and amorous and attentive being states of mind.)

The first thing that came to mind wasn't in English - which will show you that I've been studying too much language recently. No, it was Bradeos, a Greek word meaning slow.

Great, now we need a new topic...*sigh*

Ok...how about cartoons...80's cartoons, as that was the true rennaissance of cartoons in this country.

Let's start with...Alf.

Boo-Boo - Yogi Bear's side kick

Candy Candy

I dont know if you saw this, it was a Japanese cartoon featuring this orphan . I fell in love with Candy during my school years, so i guess it qualifies, even if its not 80s, but probably late 70s.

Oh! Oh! I so have to put this... Dick Dastardly

hehe, Wacky Races was SO my favourite cartoon when I was little :D

As this wasn't readily apparent to my befuddled brain, Anthony will kill me if he finds out.

Obviously, the one I need to use is Evil-Lynn.

Well, we seem to have stalled. Let's get going again with that paragon of the sensitive new-age man, in touch with his feminine side...

Fred Flintstone

I have to say it.... anyone who makes bets one how many ALLIED ships he's going to destroy at any given time is too unforgettable to not mention. Especially when his nickname is given by his *own men*.

Khyron the Backstabber

Not all cartoons in the 80's were wonderful and influential pieces of art...

remember My Little Pony?

(cue theme from Psycho)

The ABC Game

I thiought this was charecters, not shows? But I guess that qualifies.

I would say something else from Robotech, but I won't. ;) There's only so much of that I can put foward. So instead, I'll just say Motoko Kusangi of Ghost in the SHell

The ABC Game

Oh! Oh! Here's another of my faves :D -

Danger Mouse a Cosgrove Hall classic

The ABC Game

Meredith Bell's picture

Damn, beaten to the punch! Though I have to say a secret agent mouse who lives in a post box has a highly nervous gerbil called Penfold for his sidekick and fights the evil Baron Greenback has to be far superior than um, whatever the hell it was Adam is talking about ;)

Hmm, in that case I'll go for -

Nanny the dimwitted canary nursemaid to Count Duckular, the vegetarian vampire duck, also from the genius Cosgrove Hall

The ABC Game

Kaarin's picture

Oh, really! Why, I'll have you know that I am talking about QUALITY entertainment. QUALITY!

Next you'll be saying that you haven't heard of Orson, one of the Record of Lodoss War chararcters.

Actually, Adam, if you look at Kris' suggestion - it IS meant to be shows rather than characters. She said 'cartoons', not 'cartoon characters'. :) But I guess it doesn't really matter.
