I was thinking we need some Forum Games like we have on LABN. Anyway, here is my contribution, the ABC games works like this: we choose a topic say, Movies or Books or Actors, and then each entry runs from A-Z. (For Example: Films - Armageddon to Zoolander.)
So lets start, the first catagory is, funnily enough, Superheroes/Villans (from anywhere, TV, comics, Cinema...)

The ABC Game
"Incarnations of Immortality" by Piers Anthony. It's really a series of books, but... :D
The ABC Game
Jhereg by Steven Brust (The first of a great series :))
The ABC Game
Isnt there is a difference between Sci-Fi and Fantasy....Ive read Fantasy books, but ive never read a Sci Fi book...of course if we're counting both, then im sure I could sneak a few in.
The ABC Game
...i said that cos i've read Assassin's Apprentice (great set of books) and i know that they're Fantasy...that's how i'm guessing they're included :) there is a slight difference between the two, but only really in the technology side (as far as i can tell) *shrugs*
hm... am stuck on 'k' too, grr  but i have one for 'L' *bounces anxiously*
The ABC Game
Since we seem to be doing fantasy as well....
The King's Buccannear - Raymond E. Feist
The ABC Game
Lord of Chaos - Robert Jordan (from the Wheel of Time series  )
The ABC Game
SF&F is usually taken as one genre, though yes, there is a distinct difference between straight SF and Fantasy. But since everyone was bitching so much about finding titles... :P
The ABC Game
Oh, and...
Mindstar Rising by Peter F Hamilton (definitely Science Fiction) :D
The ABC Game
the chronicals of NARNIA
kinda a stretch... and that ones definitely a fantasy, but I just wanted to get SOMETHING in. Besides... those books are some good kids books :D
The ABC Game
"ORC, ORC" Piers Anthony again, and this one is from his Xanth series.
The ABC Game
Hehehe. Here, that one's called 'Ogre, Ogre'. :) Still an 'O' at least.
The ABC Game
The Postman by David Brin
Great book - unfortunately they made a really, really crappy movie out of it. :( Bloody Kevin Costner.
The ABC Game
Oops
"Question Quest" that's two "q" for you, and yes... another Piers Anthony. :D
The ABC Game
The Reality Dysfunction by Peter F Hamilton :D

The ABC Game
THE VISITORS by Clifford D. Simak
The ABC Game
The White Rose by Glen Cook
Part of The Black Company series. :)
I was hanging off on "W" since I've got a great one for "X", but nobody was forthcoming. :(
The ABC Game
Well, I was waiting for "W" so I think we are even
"X-Wing Series" by Aaron Allston.
(I was tempted to write Xanth series, but that's too many Piers' books :D)
The ABC Game
ohhh...X-wing Series. Very cool! :D Although at the moment I'm preferring the New Jedi Order...
Ummm...damn. Can't think of anything for y.
The ABC Game
I had to think about this one for a while, then I remembered Lois McMaster Bujold's Barrayar series and her protagonist Miles Vorkosigan. And although it's a little bit of a cheat 'cause it's actually an omnibus edition of "The Warrior's Apprentice", "The Mountains of Mourning" and "The Vor Game" that's too bad - I'm including it anyway.
Young Miles by Lois McMaster Bujold
btw, What ever happened to Xenocide by Orson Scott Card for the "X"? :)
The ABC Game
Zombie Lover by Piers Anthony
 This one I've havent read, actually, but it's hard to find books with "Z"
The ABC Game
Do i have to start another one? please be patient to the newbie
The ABC Game
Not necessarily, Ally. Any of us could start a new one. I think it's just that we're running out of ideas for interesting topics. :D

So a little digging turned up an acceptable reference...sorry for the "shoot from the hip" answer.
The ABC Game
Ilum (from Star Wars)
I admit it, I cheated.
Concealed within the caverns of a frigid world of Ilum are precious crystals that form the heart of the Jedi lightsaber. From the most ancient days of the Jedi order, initiates have journeyed to Ilum to find the crucial components for their weapons.
Among the endless icy mountains is Ilum's Crystal Cave. The Force permeates this grotto, and visions of possible futures often come to the Jedi that venture into the darkness. Ancient intaglios depicting the history of the Jedi order are carved in the cavern walls.
Ilum crystals, also known as Adegan crystals, were the natural minerals used most often in the oldest lightsabers. These crystals spontaneously emit powerful bursts of light and energy when resonant frequencies are run through them.
